Former acting Attorney General Matt Whittaker explains the details that are trickling out about the IG report.

He specifically discusses the news of a ‘low-level lawyer’ at the FBI who is being investigated for changing a FISA document.

CNN broke the news last night (see below) about the FBI lawyer being criminally investigated and then the New York Times confirmed that Kevin Clinesmith is the “low-level lawyer” within the FBI who doctored evidence within the Carter Page FISA application.

Kevin Clinesmith was removed by Rober Mueller after messages came out revealing his anti-Trump agenda. Yes, just another FBI lawyer who hates President Trump.

Jason Chaffetz says Democrats are already spinning the IG report:

OUR PREVIOUS REPORT ON CLINESMITH:

Let the leaks and spin begin! The intel operatives working at CNN and their intel cronies are trying to get out ahead of the report from IG Horowitz that’s coming out in about two weeks. Get ready for more leaks and distractions via our biased media.

Remember that several former FBI employees including former FBI Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe; the spokesman for James Comey, Josh Campbell; a former FBI agent, Asha Rangappa; and the former FBI chief legal counsel, James Baker all work for CNN.

Sean Hannity:

The first leak came out via CNN tonight:

CNN claims that several people who were briefed on “the matter” are reporting that an “FBI official is under criminal investigation” for altering a FISA document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

The possibility of a substantive change to an investigative document is likely to fuel accusations from President Donald Trump and his allies that the FBI committed wrongdoing in its investigation of connections between Russian election meddling and the Trump campaign.

Horowitz turned over evidence on the allegedly altered document to John Durham.
It’s unknown how significant a role the altered document played in the FBI’s investigation of Page and whether the FISA warrant would have been approved without the document. The alterations were significant enough to have shifted the document’s meaning and came up during a part of Horowitz’s FISA review where details were classified, according to the sources.

The identity or rank of the FBI employee under investigation isn’t yet known, and it’s not clear whether the employee still works in the federal government. No charges that could reflect the situation have been filed publicly in court.
