Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was the focus of yet another embarrassing series of gaffes on Tuesday as he continues to suffer from cognitive issues related to a stroke that he had in the runup to the 2022 midterm elections.

Fetterman was speaking to the CEO of the now-collapsed Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Greg Becker, as he testified in front of the Senate Banking Committee.

It was not clear what he was intending to say, as he ended his statement with ‘you know?’ to ask Becker a rhetorical question.

After suffering a series of setbacks during the 2022 election that prevented him from properly debating with his Republican opponent, Mehmet Oz, Fetterman has continued to suffer from health issues that occurred before his election as well as new issues.

Mere months after he was sworn in to the Senate in January, he took a protracted leave of absence after admitting that he checked himself in to a mental health facility due to depression.

During the 2022 election, much of the mainstream media attempted to downplay Fetterman’s health issues and some even accused Oz and other Republicans of ableism for questioning his ability to serve as a Senator due to his cognitive impairments from his stroke.

Fetterman has not indicated that he will step down from his position if his health issues continue to hinder his ability to communicate with his constituents and to participate in hearings as every Senator and House member who serves on a committee is asked to do.

Despite it being over a month since John Fetterman (D-PA) was released from his hospital care, the senator is still struggling to form a cohesive sentence in Congress. The questions from Fetterman almost garner sympathy as he struggles to even get a single proper string of words out through his entire questioning.

Fetterman was previously admitted into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in February, the second time this year, as reported by the DC Enquirer. Fetterman remained hospitalized through March, until finally returning to his congressional post in April.

This isn’t the first time Fetterman has spouted incoherent sentences in his congressional role.
