Things aren’t looking too good in New Mexico.
The National Weather Service has reported that flash flooding has hit the town of Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Videos on X show homes being taken away by floodwaters throughout Ruidoso.

Devastating flash flooding returned to the town of Ruidoso, New Mexico, on Tuesday as heavy rains overwhelmed the area still reeling from burn scars from the South Fork Fire.
Damage reports indicate floodwaters have reached homes and several roads throughout Ruidoso are covered with water.
Water rescues were underway across the city as the Rio Ruidoso reached over 20 feet – several feet over major flood stage at 15 feet, the NWS reported. If confirmed, it would be a record crest.

NBC News had the latest updates on the flood:
A spokesperson for the village of Ruidoso told NBC News that there had been rescues and some were still underway. No injuries or death had been reported as of Tuesday afternoon.
In a post on Facebook, the village asked people who could not reach their families to report the missing to the community’s emergency operations center.
Videos posted on social media and verified by NBC News showed roads submerged in fast-moving floodwaters and a home smashing into trees after it was swept down a local river, Rio Ruidoso.
