Speculation abounds about the possible exit of FOX CEO Roger Ailes after numerous FOX news female employees accused him of sexual harassment. Gretchen Carlson and now Megyn Kelly are just two of the notable women who’ve made claims against Ailes.

Blogger Matt Drudge put up a headline at the top of his popular aggregation website The Drudge Report this afternoon that Ailes will exit the company with a “$40+ million parachute.” There is no link to a story, but a source subsequently said that Ailes is in exit talks, saying terms of the settlement are being hammered out tonight.

“With internal allegations mounting, it was deemed time for him to go,” the well-placed source said.

The 76-year-old media titan reportedly will step down from his position as CEO and chairman at the right-leaning network on Tuesday, amid a sexual harassment lawsuit by Gretchen Carlson.  The Ailes news comes hours after it was alleged Megyn Kelly was also sexually harassed by Ailes a decade ago.

An attorney for Ailes released an impassioned denial.
‘Roger Ailes has never sexually harassed Megyn Kelly,’ Susan Estrich wrote in a statement.
‘In fact, he has spent much of the last decade promoting and helping her to achieve the stardom she earned, for which she has repeatedly and publicly thanked him.’
