Fox News anchor Gillian Turner described her first encounter with Joe Biden and how she still remembers the meeting 10 years later.

She says he said: “You’re beautiful” and put his hand around her waist.

Her sincere recollection screams awkwardness.

While Biden still hasn’t apologized for his inappropriate touching he says he didn’t mean to make women uncomfortable.

TURNER DESCRIBES THE ENCOUNTER:

“So, you can’t see in the way that we’ve got the photo cropped, but the reason we were talking about the photo earlier today is because he did have his hand around my waist in the picture, which you could see if we had the whole thing up there.”

“It was the first time I’d ever met vice president Biden. I was a staffer at the White House at the National Security Council…it was later, I think, in 2009. First meeting ever … he said, ‘You’re beautiful,’ and he put his hand around my waist and we took a photo together.”

Turner says he “violated” her space in this first meeting. She says the interaction didn’t make her feel uncomfortable but she does remember it 10 years later.

The panel with Howard Kurtz continues to discuss the gender dynamic in the workplace.

The difference in the workplace and the political world stands out because if Biden touched like this in a workplace environment, he’d be in big trouble.

Biden hasn’t announced his run for president yet but speculation is that he will seek the presidency in 2020.

In that case, this story will not end here.
