MY FIRST THOUGHT when I heard Kamala would be doing an interview on Fox News was probably not far from what you were thinking — please don’t give her softball questions or edit all the bad parts out!?

A split-second after I realized it would be with Bret Baier… I knew the firestorm was coming.  But I didn’t expect it to come so fast; or with so much HEAT!

If you’ve been living under a rock (or just occupied with real life, as opposed to keeping up with Bret Baier), let me fill you in on a little secret.  He’s not that “in” to President Trump.  In fact, Bret has sided with President Trump’s ENEMIES on so many occasions and in ways that make you wonder if he isn’t just that — an enemy of President Trump.

(I know, I know… he is.  But I’m trying to break that news slowly for those who might not already know it.  I’m not letting Bret off the hook that easy — trust me.  Just keep reading…)

So the news broke that Kamala Harris would be doing an interview with Brett Baier.

And then… the firestorm began.  But, wait.  I left out the best part!  The firestorm of backlash didn’t reach peak heat until Bret himself opened the doorway, and invited discussion.  It didn’t go so well.  (I’ll put the full-screen video below for easier viewing.)

He said he wanted to hear from people, and people — lots and lots of people — had a few things to say, and questions they wanted him to ask Kamala.  But like I mentioned… they weren’t sweet little comments tied up with a bow.  They were flaming hot, and tinged with anger. 🔥🔥🔥

Ouch.  But, good questionDid he ONLY hit his past girlfriend, or does Kamala get knocked around from time to time, too?  Personally, I have a theory.  I get the vibe that he generally saves his more abusive behavior for those he works with; secretaries and female co-workers.

But I have a feeling he’s more or less the submissive type when it comes to Kamala, and she’s a bit more domineering — and yes, you can read anything into that you’d like.  I meant it every possible way.

Oh, that’s a good one.  That question would be guaranteed to stump her!  We’d probably end up with another few minutes of classic Kamala footage explaining how the stars make shapes if you squint just right, or some poetic explanation (which matching hand gestures) of how the magical “cloud” above us is so different than the data storage components of our forefathers.  The only problem is… Bret won’t know anything about the monetary system, either.

Ohhh…. now that’s a good one!  I honestly hope this comes up.  (No, that’s not a joke.  Yes… she really did just roll that one out.)  Can you tell she’s a little panicked at the moment?  This is what it looks like when a campaign starts scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas.  Free money, anyone!?  (I mean, just black folks — because that’s not racist at ALL).

My guess is Bret won’t be able to get out of bringing this up.  (If he does… what was the point, even!)  I have a feeling he’ll bring it up.  But I have an equally strong feeling that he’ll let her get away with dodging the question with one of her famous non-answer tangents.  We’ll see.  I’ll be looking for this one to show up in the question lineup.

Before I get to the HEAT that President Trump and Roseanne Barr brought to the online roast of Bret Baier, here’s a little of what Bret has said concerning Kamala Harris in the past, courtesy of Newsweek:

“What do I think of Vice President Harris’ strategy of avoiding the press so far? I think that it can’t last, and I think that eventually, there’s going to be a big interview,” he said during the Democratic National Convention in August. “I hope she comes on Special Report with me, and we’ve offered it many times. Eventually, she’s going to have to answer questions about her past statements and her past policies, and where she is now.”

In a September 10 post to X, formerly Twitter, Baier responded to a report that Harris’ issues page on her campaign website came directly from Biden’s campaign website by saying it reflects “the challenge for the Harris campaign trying to be the ‘change agent.’”

Baier also praised Harris’ choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

“He’s been on our shows. He’s not afraid to get—like [Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator] JD Vance. He’s not afraid to go to different places. He’s not afraid to mix it up. He does speak in plain speak. He’s a former football coach former teacher. He has that appeal, that aspect,” he said.

Harris’ campaign in August shared a clip of Baier giving her “credit” for lowering some drug prices. In the clip shared to X, Baier said, “They have had success on big, specific medications, and bringing those prices down in negotiations.”

The problem I, and a lot of people have with Bret’s willingness to find the tiny specks of “good” in Kamala’s record… is that he rarely hits back at the “bad” parts — you know, the other 98%!  And yet it seems as though with President Trump he finds every conceivable way to disparage the man with very little good to say.  Fair & Balanced!???  I remember when that was basically true at Fox News.  It’s been a couple of decades.

And that is why this video meme has been making the rounds on social media.  This is more or less what I’m expecting to happen — and I can only dream that President Trump can infiltrate the building and make this dream a reality.

Speaking of President Trump, he did not remain quiet when he heard about the upcoming interview with Bret.

But I have to say, this is one time when President Trump may have been outmatched in the verbal sparring department.  Roseanne Bar has been making waves lately as she has waded farther into the political pool.  She did not pull any punches in her response to Bret’s invite for comment:

BOOM.  Wow.  The funny part is… I am fairly certain that was likely the most common response to the upcoming interview!  Leave it to a comedian to say what we’re all thinking in the most concise way imaginable, yet with all the heat of a thousand suns.  Bret might feel that one for a few days.

One of the biggest concerns people have had is whether, like the 60 Minutes interview (who still will not release the full tape or transcript of their make-believe interview!) she’ll be given the chance to “edit” the final product and remove anything she doesn’t like.

At first, it seemed as if it would be a live interview!  But since then Bret has announced that it will be PRE-TAPED!  Of course, there’s always a good reason (excuse…) why.

Here’s the story on that from a different Newsweek article:

Fox News’ Bret Baier said Monday that there are no preconditions for his interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, which will air Wednesday.

Baier wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that “there were no preconditions to get the interview. No one has the questions ahead of time—except me. No topic is off the table. And if there is any editing—it will be very minimal for timing and will be editorially the same question and answer.”

The interview will be prerecorded just before Baier’s live show, Special Report, at 6 p.m. ET.

And just like that, magically… there is no live interview, and editing will definitely happen (But trust me, bruh).

Sure thing, Bretster — about as far as I can throw you, and maybe not even that far.

This is a Guest Post from our friends over at WLTReport.
