The actor, whose IMDb page lists credits for “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Game of Thrones,” was arrested last week after LAPD detectives claimed he was in sexually explicit communication with an out-of-state minor.

Joseph Gatt, a 50-year-old English actor living in Los Angeles and perhaps known for his recurring roles in “Game of Thrones” and “NCIS: New Orleans” was arrested on April 6th after Los Angeles Police Department detectives claimed that he was having online, sexually explicit communications with an out-of-state minor. This is not the first time that Gatt has victimized a minor, as there was already an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest based off of similar circumstances with another minor victim.

From Fox News:

[Gatt] was arrested for contact with a minor for sexual offense.

Police are now “seeking to identify any additional victims” following Gatt’s arrest.

Gatt was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail on April 6 at 9 a.m. local time and was released after posting a $5,000 bail around noon the same day.

Sexual predators in Hollywood have become increasingly common, to the point that it rarely shocks some readers to learn about any given celebrity being investigated for or accused of grooming or sexual assault. However, this does not make it less concerning that so many people with money and power are preying on our children.

Furthermore, that $5,000 bail is all that is required to be back out on the streets after an arrest for sexually explicit communication with a minor is scary indeed. The amount of harm that the actor can continue to do while out on bail is difficult (and uncomfortable) to imagine.
