The House Oversight Committee are expanding their investigation into the Biden Administration and its decision to steer federal money to Democrat campaigns’ donors
The Biden Administration has been giving out substantial amounts of federal funds to Democrat donors via contracts and loans. Republicans in the House Oversight Committee have been investigating these choices by the Administration since at least January, and have recently expanded the investigation to include looking into almost $3 million in contracts awarded to a major Democrat donor’s, who contributed heavily to Biden’s campaign, company.
This is on top of the initial investigation into a massive $500 million federal loan to First Solar, which is co-owned by another of the largest donators to Biden’s campaign.

Committee members asked President Joe Biden’s budget office in a letter on Thursday to turn over internal records related to the grants and loans. This follows a request by Republicans earlier this year for similar documents from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), one of the federal agencies that issued the funding.
The funding shows a “pattern of businesses associated with donors receiving substantial amounts of taxpayer money” and “raise[s] questions as to whether the administration is playing favorites with political donors,” wrote House Oversight Committee ranking member James Comer (R., Ky.), Subcommittee on Environment ranking member Ralph Norman (R., S.C.), and other members on the committee in the letter to Office of Management and Budget director Shalanda Young on Thursday.
The Republicans within the Committee are seeking “documents and information about what, if any, safeguards and procedures are in place to protect taxpayers.”
First Solar is co-owned by Walmart’s billionaire heir Lukas Walton, who contributed $300,000 to Biden’s campaign and another $100,000 to the DNC in 2020.
An even bigger donor, and Joe Biden’s close personal friend, Joe Kiani, donated $1 million to the Biden Foundation, and $ 750,000 to a Pro-Biden Super PAC. Joe owns the Masimo Corporation, a med tech company which has received almost $3 million in federal contracts since the start of Biden’s regime.
In both cases, the donors seem to have received huge returns on their investments into Biden’s corrupt reign.
The Republican Congressmen have requested to receive the relevant documents by May 5th of this year.
