Dirty Dems are at it again…

While Republican and Democrat senators work to find common ground on a Democrat-led gun-control bill, it appears the Biden regime is looking for a way to bypass legislation and chart his own course on gun control by cutting off a Missouri ammunition plant’s ability to produce AR-15 ammunition.

Top ammo manufacturer and U.S. armed forces supplier, Winchester Ammunition, warned that Joe Biden’s administration is contemplating a policy that would drastically reduce the availability of civilian 5.56mm/.223 caliber ammunition rounds used by popular AR-15 rifles.

The Department of Defense owns the Missouri factory but allows Winchester Ammunition to operate the facility and oversee the production of the ammunition.

Two GOP representatives argue that shutting down ammo production would harm both individuals and military preparedness should we face a national emergency.

GOP Reps. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) and Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.), said the plant “currently produces a significant portion of this type of 5.56mm ammunition for the commercial market” and allows the operator to keep the factory at a high state of readiness. That factory, they continued, ensures that the U.S. “Army is ready to ramp up production in the event of a national emergency.”

Hartzler added “The Biden administration has made their priorities clear: dismantle the Second Amendment, compromise military readiness, and push inflation to new heights. It’s time for the Biden administration to stop its attack on our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.”

In another assault on 2A rights, the Biden administration is encouraging Democratic governors to pass state gun control legislation. Perhaps Biden believes that if states pass restrictive gun laws, it will pave a way for his administration to push similar federal laws.

Current NRA Board member John Sigler, who is the previous president of the Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association, and the National Rifle Association is concerned about the proposed legislation in Delaware.

Delaware is one of the states now facing new gun legislation and also has a Democratic governor.
After moving rapidly through the Democrat-controlled state legislature, a bill that would prohibit magazines capable of holding more than 17 rounds as well as a bill that would outlaw most semi-auto rifles is waiting for Gov. John Carney’s signature.

“All of this is being driven by the White House,” Sigler said. “Joe has been a gun-banner forever – back to when he was running the Senate Judiciary Committee. My first dealings with him involved ‘Saturday Night Specials’ and ‘Cop Killer’ bullets.”
Sigler sums it up well “This is exactly what those of us here in Delaware feared when he announced he was running for president.”

American freedoms are at risk, and it does not appear that Biden’s desire to strip America’s 2A rights will end soon. The resolve to protect our 2A freedoms is a fight Wayne LaPierre of the NRA is determined to unite on and fight on.
