Thursday, 10 a.m. eastern time, Ron DeSantis is poised to reveal a major announcement that will make liberals’ heads spin
Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis has become a Republican superstar due to his effective governance in the state, his anti-woke battles with schools and Disney, as well as his immigration strategies. There are many who have speculated that DeSantis will run for president in 2024, and now his Press Secretary hints that he is planning to make a major announcement at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, August 4th.
While some view DeSantis as a Trump alternative in 2024, if the President decides not to run again, DeSantis has thus far been noncommittal about the idea of running for the highest office in the US. His spokeswoman, Christina Pushaw, claims that Thursday’s announcement will be for “official business,” which may rule out a Presidential bid announcement. However, pollsters have continuously put DeSantis in their models as if his running is a surefire thing.
Pushaw Tweeter that the announcement would be “major” and would lead to the “liberal media meltdown of the year,” Wednesday night.
MAJOR announcement tomorrow morning from @GovRonDeSantis.
Prepare for the liberal media meltdown of the year
Everyone get some rest tonight 😉 🌚

Immediately, people began to speculate about a 2024 announcement. However, Pushaw pointed out that DeSantis has already announced his intention to run for reelection for Governor and that the announcement on Thursday would pertain to gubernatorial business.
On Wednesday, DeSantis called for suing doctors who perform gender reassignment operations on minors. In the same press conference, DeSantis also discussed (to much applause) his state’s handling of the substance abuse crisis.
Based on this, people are speculating heavily as to what Governor DeSantis’s administration will be focusing on in the next legislative cycle. However, Pushaw seemingly implies that the announcement has nothing to do with that, either. So if it isn’t an agenda, and it isn’t a Presidential bid, many find themselves stumped. It may be best to wait and hear directly from the Governor’s mouth what his intentions are at 10 a.m. eastern time.
Until then, people will continue to speculate about what “official business” this “major announcement” will be about.
