If a grocery store held a fundraiser for illegal aliens, the media and likely their customers would be singing the praises of the owner. But if a grocery store compares heaven that has gates and walls, to hell, whose borders are wide open, the left becomes unhinged. Free speech, for the left, is a one-way street. As long as you’re offending President Trump or his supporters, there should be no limit on your speech, but dare to defend our president or his policies, and you’ve crossed the line.

According to Fox News – A Southern grocery store chain is facing backlash online after including a controversial blurb in its latest weekly ad that the owner acknowledges is “political.”

Mac’s Fresh Market, with locations in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi, shared a photo of the savings circular on its Facebook page and website. At the top of the ad is the quote drawing so much attention: “Heaven has a wall, a gate, and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in.”

Dozens of people have since called out the store for the circular, with some calling it “disgusting” message, vowing to no longer shop there.

KALB reached out to Mac’s Fresh Market owner Reggy McDaniel, who said it’s about faith for him.

“That’s my meaning of the whole thing is are people prepared to go to heaven or are they not,” said McDaniel. “I thought it was a perfect time because everybody is talking about the border, some people want it, some don’t want us to have one. The only thing I was shocked about was that it’s racist. I have never in my life been accused of being a racist, I’m 70 years old I haven’t evolved into one.”

“If I used a political message and I’m very aware it’s political, to highlight Jesus Christ, then I’m guilty of it,” said McDaniel.

Others on social media choosing to boycott the store saying “I’ll no longer shop in your store” and “I will no longer spend money on any of your products.”

“Karen Webre” defended the owner’s remarks: It’s a great statement and he has freedom of speech . Nothing racial or politically correct about it .. just a fact . Way to go Macs fresh market !

“Michael Hoffman” threatened to boycott the store, calling the owners behavior “racist?”

For the record, Michael, illegal immigration is not a race.

“I appreciate them shopping with me, but this is America they have the privilege of shopping where they want to,” McDaniel said. “All I can do is tell them my case if they want to describe me in some kind of way that I am someone who is not worthy to shop with, I’d be shocked.”

McDaniel said he will continue to put messages on his ad mailers in the future.
