On Friday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks were nearing the end of their playoff game when fans crowded outside the arena began running for their lives as the streets erupted in gunfire.
The “Deer District”, an area right outside the Bucks’ arena where viewing parties are held during the playoffs, was completely packed with fans cheering their team on in the final minutes of the game. Suddenly, the festivities were interrupted by gunfire.
Chilling footage shows hordes of people with their friends and family members, all running away from the shooter, many screaming as they fled to safety.
Three people were shot, one of whom is a 16-year-old girl. The other two victims are men, ages 26 and 29. All three are expected to survive their injuries.
A 19-year-old man was reportedly taken into custody following the incident.

While the Milwaukee Police Department supposedly remained on the scene, just two hours later, an even larger shooting occurred just blocks away, leaving 17 people injured.
The victims range in age from 15 to 27, according to Milwaukee Police Captain Warren Allen. He also reported that the victims of the second shooting are expected to survive.
Ten people were taken into custody following the shooting, and nine firearms were recovered from the scene.
It is currently unknown by police why this mass shooting transpired.
The Milwaukee Police Department reportedly responded to seven other shootings earlier that day, including two fatal shootings on the same block just hours apart.
