President Trump is a man of his word.

Just days after President Trump called the men’s U.S. hockey team and invited them to the State of the Union address after they won gold at the Olympics, Trump made sure logistical issues would be no problem for the team to attend the event.

On Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. hockey team was spotted boarding a military plane sent by Trump in Miami that will fly to Washington, D.C., so the team can attend the State of the Union.

NBC Miami provided further details on the U.S. hockey team’s latest moves:

Some members of the Team USA men’s hockey team were heading to Washington on Tuesday to attend President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address after a wild party in Miami to celebrate their gold medal win in the 2026 Olympics.

A U.S. Air Force plane left Miami International Airport Tuesday morning carrying team members who were heading to D.C.

Photos posted on social media shows the players boarding the plane, many with their gold medals around their necks.

The team arrived in Miami from Italy on Monday after they had to be re-routed away from New York due to the winter weather farther up the East Coast.

After a brief stop at a Miami Beach hotel, the team partied the night away at Miami’s Club E11even, where some fans paid hundreds of dollars to paty with the team.

“They were giving us shots, it was a good time, the vibes were electric, just proud to be an American, and we were singing, dancing, having a good time,” fan Joe Myerjack said.

CBS Sports reported the women’s hockey team has denied an invitation to attend the State of the Union address:

The USA women’s hockey team has declined an invitation to attend Tuesday night’s State of the Union, a day after President Donald Trump jokingly told the men’s hockey team that he would probably be impeached if he also didn’t invite the women’s team.

Scheduling conflicts was the reason for declining the invitation to attend the State of the Union, according to a USA Hockey spokesperson.

“We are sincerely grateful for the invitation extended to our gold medal–winning U.S. Women’s Hockey Team and deeply appreciate the recognition of their extraordinary achievement,” the spokesperson said. “Due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the Games, the athletes are unable to participate.”

The spokesperson added that the team was “honored to be included and are grateful for the acknowledgment.”

Trump invited the men’s team to the State of the Union during a call with the team shortly after their win over Canada. It is unclear whether the team will attend.
