Brazilian flyweight Allan Nascimento passed away on Monday after suffering an “apparent heart attack,” the UFC announced.

Nascimento was found unresponsive.

He was 34.

“A fixture on the doorstep of the Top 15, Nascimento was a constant presence alongside his teammates whenever they made the walk, sharing an especially close bond with former lightweight champion and current BMF titleholder Charles Oliveira,” the UFC stated.

“Our condolences go out to Nascimento’s family and friends, the Chute Boxe Diego Lima team, and all those impacted by this sudden, heartbreaking loss,” it added.

ESPN shared further:

Nicknamed “Puro Osso,” which translates to “All Bones” because he was so lean as a teenager, Nascimento (22-7) was 4-2 in six appearances in the UFC. He signed with the promotion in 2021. Both of his losses came by split decision.

He trained out of the renowned Chute Boxe team, under head coach Diego Lima.

His last contest was a split decision defeat in June to Mitch Raposo in Las Vegas.

“Today I lost a brother — a guy who was truly one of a kind — and the pain is unbearable,” No. 3-ranked lightweight and longtime friend Charles Oliveira said in a statement.

Brazilian middleweight Caio “The Natural” Borralho called Nascimento “one of the most kind fighters that’s I’ve ever met!”

“Polite, good energy and always in good spirits! He will be missed,” he said in a social media post.

And UFC correspondent Evelyn Rodrigues called Nascimento one of “the kindest souls I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing through MMA. Rest in peace, Allan.”
