This is infuriating…
Today, the House of Representatives voted on a motion to censure Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver.
If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Rep. McIver was caught on video verbally and physically assaulting ICE agents at a detention facility in New Jersey back in May.
For reference, here’s that clip:

A sitting Democrat Congresswoman, LaMonica McIver, can act like a THUG, storm an ICE facility in New Jersey, push and assault federal law enforcement, and my OWN REPUBLICAN House members will DEFEND HER?

They just tanked the measure to censure her!
Since then, Rep. McIver has been indicted on charges related to forcibly impeding and interfering with federal officers.
If convicted, she could face up to 17 years behind bars.
It’s incredible that she hasn’t been ousted from Congress, yet.
But, it’s definitely a no-brainer to censure her while she’s pending trial. Right?
And yet, in a vote of 215-207, several Republicans just helped Democrats kill the motion to censure her!
Take a look at this:

The names of the five House Republicans who voted to tank the motion to censure Rep. McIver are:
- Don Bacon
- Mike Flood
- Dave Joyce
- Mike Turner
- David Valadao
What traitors.
Politico has more:
Some House Republicans joined every Democrat in voting to sink an effort to censure Rep. LaMonica McIver over her involvement in a chaotic May scuffle outside an immigration detention center.
ADVERTISEMENTRep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) forced the vote to formally reprimand McIver and remove her from her position on the House Homeland Security Committee, a handful of his GOP colleagues had little appetite for moving forward with the punishment.
Five Republicans — Reps. Don Bacon and Mike Flood of Nebraska, Dave Joyce and Mike Turner of Ohio and David Valadao of California — joined every Democrat in voting to table the measure, while two Republicans — Reps. Andrew Garbarino of New York and Nathaniel Moran of Texas — voted present.
“I think it’s best to let Ethics Committee finish its report,” Bacon said.
A spokesperson for Turner said after the vote the Ohio Republican inadvertently voted to kill McIver’s censure; the incorrect vote did not change the outcome.
Several Democratic officials, including McIver and Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez, were attempting to conduct an oversight visit of the Newark, New Jersey, facility when federal agents arrested the city’s mayor.
Prior to the vote, Rep. McIver doubled down, saying Republicans can’t make her “run scared.”
Per Axios:
McIver is being prosecuted by the Justice Department on charges of assaulting law enforcement, but she has denied wrongdoing and alleged that both the charges and the censure measure are purely political.
- “If House Republicans think they can make me run scared, they’re wrong,” McIver said in a statement on Tuesday after Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) forced a vote on the censure measure.
- “We were all elected to do the people’s work,” she said. “I take that responsibility seriously—Clay Higgins clearly does not.”
I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely sick and tired of these RINOs.
Primary them all!
