On Thursday, Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik posed for a photo with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) right after filing an ethics complaint against her. Once AOC realized who she was, she angrily stormed off, calling Raichik “super transphobic.”

During a Feb. 8 House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing, AOC defamed Raichik, saying that she posted false information on her social media account about Boston Children’s Hospital performing hysterectomies on young girls.

The Heritage Foundation filed an ethics complaint on Raichik’s behalf, asking the Office of Congressional Ethics to open an investigation into AOC for “falsely accusing” and “defaming” the Libs of TikTok account owner.

The complaint references AOC’s statements on Feb. 8 about Raichik’s posts.

“Are you aware… that from August 11 to August 16 [Libs of TikTok] posted false information about Boston Children’s Hospital claiming that they were providing hysterectomies to children?” AOC asked a former Twitter executive. “And are you aware that this lie was then circulated by other prominent far-right influences?”

However, in its complaint, Heritage presents evidence that the children’s hospital has performed gender-affirming surgery on patients as young as 15. According to the hospital’s website, they perform gender affirmation surgery to “eligible adolescents.”

There are also records that the hospital has “performed 65 double-mastectomies on minors over the course of three years.”

“Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s accusation that the tweet contained false information is itself outrightly false on its face,” Heritage said. “Rep. Ocasio-Cortez knowingly made this allegation in bad faith.”

AOC also blamed Raichik’s posts for threats made against the hospital and its staff, although there is no evidence that this is the case.

Heritage alleged that AOC “recklessly blamed Ms. Raichik and her tweet for the actions of other people reacting to Boston Children’s Hospital’s video, claiming that it fueled threats and harassment towards the hospital and its staff and incited violence against ‘trans and LGBT people.'”

Heritage’s complaint suggests that, by making such statements against Raichik, AOC violated a House ethics rule by “knowingly and intentionally defaming Chaya Raichik, creator of the viral Libs of TikTok account, falsely accusing her of lying and disseminating disinformation.”

On Thursday, Raichik went to AOC’s office in Washington D.C. to drop off the complaint directly. However, AOC was not in her office so the complaint was left with a staff member.

After leaving and going to the Capitol building, Raichik ran into none other than AOC herself.

Raichik got AOC to pose for a picture and, while they were standing next to each other, Raichik said, “I just delivered an ethics complaint to your office because you lied about me in a committee hearing.”

As it dawned on AOC who she was standing next to, she became angry and said, “You’re actually super transphobic and I never want to share a space with you!”

She then stormed away.
