Two teenage thugs who assaulted a dad while he was relaxing in a hot tub at a California apartment complex have just been arrested.
The attackers’ own parents turned them in after surveillance footage of the random attack went viral on social media.
The shocking footage shows a man chilling in a jacuzzi before two teenage boys suddenly run up and kick him in the head.
They also steal his phone before running away.

The victim in that video, Greg Medina, is a single father who works full-time cooking meals for homeless people at Lutheran Social Services.
He is the sole provider for his 12-year-old daughter Emmy.
Here’s a photo of him and his daughter:

After a long, hard day at work — which begins at 5 AM for him — Greg just wanted some time to unwind in a jacuzzi.
But, instead, he was attacked and robbed.
He also had to miss a day at work to recover after suffering a concussion in the attack.
The only good news is that both of these hooligans are now in custody and facing felony charges.
This clip from ABC 7 covered the story further:

Before turning him in, one of the assailant’s dads reached out to Greg to apologize for his son’s behavior.
Greg ended up meeting with both of the boys who hurt him in jail.
While there, he found out that they attacked him for a stupid TikTok stunt.
The New York Post has more:
One of the suspects’ fathers first reached out to the victim, Greg Medina, on Facebook and told him his son was involved in the Aug. 14 attack in San Bernardino.
He then took the boy to jail and turned him in.
Medina later met both teens, their fathers and other family members at the jail.
The boys apologized, and Medina shook hands with them.
“They were very respectful, the fathers were very respectful as well,” Medina told The California Post.
Medina said he later learned the teens had been trying to film something for TikTok when they attacked him.
ADVERTISEMENTAccording to Medina, they took his phone so he would not be able to call the police.
“I was glad to get an answer, but disappointed TikTok was the reason.”
The second boy then reached down and grabbed Medina’s phone from the concrete.
The teens never said anything to him, Medina said. They laughed.
“They thought it was funny to do this to me.”
The boys also laughed as they ran away.
Medina never got his phone back.
The teens ditched his new iPhone somewhere after taking it, he said.
The phone cost more than $1,000, and Medina had just finished paying it off.
ADVERTISEMENTHis AirPods were also lost, while his glasses were broken during the attack.
The kick sent Medina to the emergency room with a concussion.
He was later diagnosed with “post-concussion syndrome” and continues to suffer from headaches and dizziness.
The 48-year-old has also had to miss work and lose money while recovering.
Despite all he suffered, Greg Medina is taking the high road.
He says that he forgives his attackers and hopes that they get the help they need.
NBC Los Angeles shared:
“These boys did something very serious and need to be held accountable,” Medina said. “I’m just happy that they took ownership of it, and I wasn’t hurt more than I was.”
Medina says he met with the teenagers on Friday morning.
“They apologized to me, and we shared an embrace and a hug and told them I forgive them,” Medina said. “They apologized to me. I don’t hate them. These are two young men that need help.”
God Bless Greg Medina and his daughter.
What those two young thugs did to such a kind, caring man is absolutely disgusting.
They will have plenty of time to reflect on it in jail. Hopefully, they will turn their lives around.
