Earlier today, Defense Secretary James Mattis welcomed new National Security Advisor John Bolton with a really funny quip:
“It’s good to finally meet you,” Mattis said to Bolton.
“I heard that you’re actually the devil incarnate and I wanted to meet you.”
Mattis responded earlier in the week to the fake news that he had reservations about working with Bolton: “We’re going to sit down together. I look forward to working with him. Last time I checked, he’s an American. I can work with an American, OK?”
JUST IN! Mattis first words to Bolton on Pentagon steps. Mattis joking in an off mic moment said, “I heard you’re actually the devil incarnate and I wanted to meet you.” Bolton laughed.

Bolton is replacing H.R. McMaster who reportedly had a rocky relationship with President Trump.
OUR PREVIOUS REPORT ON MCMASTER:
WOW! We thought this was coming due to the turmoil in the relationship between President Trump and McMaster, but it’s still a surprise. It’s been called a “mutual parting of the ways”.
McMaster and Trump just never jelled so it’s also being called “the worst kept secret in Washington”.
The NYT reported last FEBRUARY that the two did not agree on their view of “radical Islamic terrorism”:
WASHINGTON — President Trump’s newly appointed national security adviser has told his staff that Muslims who commit terrorist acts are perverting their religion, rejecting a key ideological view of other senior Trump advisers and signaling a potentially more moderate approach to the Islamic world.
The adviser, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, told the staff of the National Security Council on Thursday, in his first “all hands” staff meeting, that the label “radical Islamic terrorism” was not helpful because terrorists are “un-Islamic,” according to people who were in the meeting.
WE HAVE A FEELING ANOTHER LEAKER JUST LEFT THE WHITE HOUSE…
White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster will be replaced by former UN ambassador John Bolton, President Trump announced Thursday:
USA Today is reporting that President Trump fired McMaster:
President Trump fired his national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, Thursday and named John Bolton to succeed him, according to the White House.
McMaster’s ouster comes amid a period of particular turmoil in Trump’s national security team, as Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was fired March 13 and CIA Director Mike Pompeo was named to replace him.
There has been friction between Trump and McMaster. Last month, Trump upbraided McMaster after the general told a national security conference in Munich that there was “incontrovertible” evidence of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
General McMaster forgot to say that the results of the 2016 election were not impacted or changed by the Russians and that the only Collusion was between Russia and Crooked H, the DNC and the Dems. Remember the Dirty Dossier, Uranium, Speeches, Emails and the Podesta Company!
