Intercept writer, Glenn Greenwald tweeted a Haaretz article that pointed out how GOP Minority House Leader Kevin McCarthy is taking a stand against the anti-Israel Muslim Congresswomen, Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy threatens punishment for
@IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib over their criticisms of Israel. It’s stunning how much time US political leaders spend defending a foreign nation even if it means attacking free speech rights of Americans
The Haaretz article talks about the action McCarthy would take against the two Democrats for their “sharp criticism” of Israel.
“If they do not take action I think you’ll see action from myself,” Kevin McCarthy of California, the minority leader, said according to Capitol Hill reporters writing for a number of newspapers. “This cannot sustain itself. It’s unacceptable in this country.”
Omar has received her fair share of criticism over her open hatred for Israel. In 2012, the Muslim MN State Rep, who is now a freshman US Congresswoman, tweeted about Israel, asking “Allah” to “awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”
Yesterday, Omar was back at it. It’s almost like Somali-immigrant, Muslim Congresswoman can’t help herself, as she retweeted Greenwald’s tweet, along with the comment, “It’s all about the Benjamins baby.” Her comments were seen by many as more anti-semitic rhetoric from the lawmaker. It’s not uncommon for anti-Semites to make reference to Jews and money. On May 1st, 2018, the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas blamed Jews for the Holocaust, claiming, Jews in Europe provoked the Holocaust because of their “social function” as money lenders. Omar’s tweet appears to be falling in lockstep with the controversial Palestinian leader.
Congresswoman Liz Cheney came out yesterday, strongly condemning the anti-Semitism being spewed by her fellow colleague, Ilhan Omar (D-MN). In her tweet, Cheney demands that Ilhan Omar is removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Earlier today, US Rep. Dr. Mark Green spoke out against the Muslim lawmaker, saying that he agrees with Liz Cheney that we need to kick her off the House Foreign Affairs Committee that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appointed her to.
It's ridiculous to suggest we're taking bribes to support Israel. I went to the Middle East as a special operator. I know that Israel is a stabilizing force in the region. I agree with Chairwoman Cheny that Rep. Omar needs to be taken off the Foreign Affairs Cmte.@MorningsMaria pic.twitter.com/9g5MOMiPvF

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniels came out strongly against the anti-Semitic lawmaker, saying: Ilhan Omar isn’t just anti-Semitic in tweets, she proudly supports the BDS movement to boycott/delegitimize Israel. Does she want to boycott anyone else? No, just the Jewish people in the only Jewish state. Instead of condemning her, Pelosi put her on the Foreign Affairs Cmte.
