House Republicans introduced a bill that would prohibit funding for the World Economic Forum.

“No funds available to the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development, or any other department or agency may be used to provide funding for the World Economic Forum,” the ‘Defund Davos Act’ reads.

“U.S. Representative Scott Perry (PA-10), joined by Representatives Tom Tiffany (WI-07), Paul Gosar (AZ-09), Diana Harshbarger (TN-01), Andy Ogles (TN-05), and Matt Rosendale (MT-02), introduced the Defund Davos Act. The bill would prohibit the Department of State and the United States Agency for International Development from providing any funding to the World Economic Forum,” Rep. Scott Perry wrote in a press release.

“Forcing American Taxpayers to fund annual ski trips for insular, global elitists is absurd – not to mention reprehensible,” Rep. Perry said.

“The World Economic Forum doesn’t deserve one cent of American funding, and it’s past time we defund Davos,” he added.

Cont. from Rep. Perry’s press release:

Hosted in Davos, Switzerland, the World Economic Forum’s annual conference brings together CEOs, world leaders, and other officials to discuss elitist, dystopian ideas like global solidarity and eating bugs to solve world hunger. Throughout the years, the U.S. has spent millions to fund the Forum and its anti-American conference.

“The wealthy WEF globalists should not receive Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars,” said Rep. Tiffany. “The Defund Davos Act would ensure that U.S. tax dollars are not funding the World Economic Forum and their reset on our way of life. I thank Congressman Perry for leading this important effort.”

The Davos conference allows the global elites and leaders of countries like China and Iran to argue against the interests of the American People and devise means by which global governance can be implemented. The Forum’s objectives include designing and implementing a global financial system, getting countries to enforce electric vehicle purchases and car sharing, using Artificial Intelligence to drive the economy and society, and other global public interests.

“Anyone not prepared to take away the power of unelected bureaucrats and give it back to the American people is unprepared to be part of the next conservative administration,” Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said.

Per Daily Caller:

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts directly called out the attendees at his WEF panel Thursday, arguing that future Republican administrations would need to outright reject all policies that are cooked up at Davos.

“The very reason I’m here at Davos, is to explain to many people in this room and who are watching, with all due respect – nothing personal – that you are part of the problem,” Roberts explained. “Political elites tell the average people … that the reality is ‘x,’ when in fact, reality is ‘y.’”
