Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said she asked House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) to subpoena Bill Gates regarding his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

“Last night, I watched Melinda Gates interview. I immediately asked the chairman of oversight, James Comer, to subpoena, Bill Gates. I have questions for Bill Gates about Epstein,” Mace said.

The Hill explained further:

On Tuesday, Melinda French Gates urged her ex-husband to answer questions over allegations made against him in the new batch of Epstein files.

“Whatever questions remain there of what I don’t — can’t even begin to know all of it, those questions are for those people and for even my ex-husband,” she told NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast. “They need to answer to those things, not me.”

Mace has expressed deep disdain for the crimes committed by Epstein and left a closed-door meeting with his survivors visibly upset earlier this year, citing her own personal trauma as a sexual assault survivor.

In a Wednesday interview, Bill Gates apologized for spending time with Epstein and said he had several dinners with the disgraced financier in hopes of building a network of investors for global health initiatives.

“The focus was always, he knew a lot of very rich people, and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health. In retrospect, that was a dead end,” he said.

“We’re certainly looking at that, so we’ll have more to come on that,” Comer said, according to POLITICO.

“We’re calling for Bill Gates to testify under oath on his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein in front of the Oversight Committee. 3 million pages of Epstein documents were just released by the DOJ and the allegations are SICK. If these allegations are false, Bill Gates should have no problem saying so under oath before Congress,” Mace said.

“Nobody is above the law. Not billionaires. Not the powerful. Nobody,” she added.

POLITICO noted:

Bill Gates was depicted in the release of Epstein-related materials in December but has come under renewed security over his ties to the disgraced financier in the latest set of documents to be made public.

The newest tranche of files includes allegations that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease from women in Epstein’s orbit. A spokesperson for Gates has called the allegations absurd.
