On Wednesday, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) teased the release of the long-anticipated ‘January 6’ tapes that will give the public more access to the events that transpired at the ‘Stop the Steal’ rally.
Former FOX News host Tucker Carlson aired some of the tapes after being granted access by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Ca. but was only able to air a small portion of them before he was taken off the air in the aftermath of the Dominion settlement.
Greene, in conjunction with McCarthy, announced that the tapes would be given to John Solomon of Just the News, Senior Writer Julie Kelly of American Greatness, and a third outlet who she did not reveal.
While many people were happy that more content from the tapes would be revealed, some people were unhappy that the tapes would not be released in their entirety to the public.
One prominent conservative Twitter user known as ‘Cat Turd’ mentioned that Greene and McCarthy promised to release the tapes to the general public and said that they were only released to ‘soften the blow’ of McCarthy ‘screwing the public’ because of the upcoming debt ceiling increase.
Greene said that she did not support releasing the entirety of the tapes to the public because they would be misused by Antifa activists to ‘doxx’ people at the rally.
Again … the promise was to release it to the public.
Releasing it to 3 members of the press is a million miles away from that.
– and this is being released today to soften the blow of McCarthy caving and screwing us again.
Tired of these games.

The Georgia congresswoman revealed that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will be giving two journalists and a “third outlet” access to the thousands of hours of footage Twitter Files style, adding that their reporting on it would soon be shared with the public.
Greene had previously vowed to release the footage “to the people,” leading some to question why a select group of media figures had been given the opportunity to become middlemen between the content and the masses.
“I’m excited to share the good news that just as I promised the J6 tapes are being released!” Greene tweeted, explaining that McCarthy had given Just the News’ John Solomon, American Greatness’ Julie Kelly, and a third outlet “unfettered access to the J6 tapes.”
