Among President Donald Trump’s many first-term accomplishments were the historic Abraham Accords, which brought a period of peace across the Middle East.

Despite the Democratic Party’s attempts to label Trump an Islamophobe, many Muslim leaders are looking at his record and deciding to publicly support his bid for a second term.

One such individual recently stepped forward in Michigan, as reported by Breitbart:

An Islamic leader from Dearborn, Michigan, said Monday that former President Donald Trump aligns closer with the Bible, Torah, and Quran than Vice President Kamala Harris does.

Imam Husham Al-Husainy of Karbalaa Islamic Center in Dearborn shared his perspective during a Michigan Republican Party press call, along with other Arab leaders, including Hamtramck Mayor Ameer Ghalib (D) and Dearborn Heights Mayor Bill Bazzi.

“So the reason I lean towards Mr. Trump because I found him closer to the Bible, and Torah, and the Quran because I support peace, no war,” Al-Husainy said. “We should stop the war, whether in Europe or in Middle East. And I believe in justice evenly between all the children of Ibrahim [Abraham].”

“And I thirdly believe in the morality, which is the holy logic in the Bible, and the Torah, and the Quran, where God supports normality and respect; appreciates the marriage between male and female. So this is why I believe that we need a special president, special leader,” he added.

There has been evidence that the Muslim-American voting bloc could be one of many shifting toward Trump this election cycle.

As Fox News reported last month:

The mayor of a Muslim-majority city in Michigan says he is endorsing Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, calling the former commander-in-chief, “the right choice for this critical time.”

Amer Ghalib, mayor of the Detroit-area suburb Hamtramck, announced his endorsement of Trump in a Facebook post Sunday. While admitting he and Trump didn’t “agree on everything,” he said he regarded the former commander-in-chief as “a man of principles.”

“Though it’s looking good, he may or may not win the election and be the 47th president of the United States, but I believe he is the right choice for this critical time,” Ghalib wrote in Arabic on his Facebook page. “I’ll not regret my decision no matter what the outcome would be, and I’m ready to face the consequences. For this, and for many other reasons, I announce my support and endorsement for the former, and hopefully, the next president of the United States, Donald Trump.”
