Is there something sinister going on with the inaccurate statistics being promoted about the coronavirus pandemic?

Tucker Carlson brings up the facts on how wrong the statistics on predicted deaths from coronavirus have been:

A REPORT ON THE VERY INACCURATE NUMBERS:

Two key things to note are the inaccurate virus models being pushed by an online mapping tool called Covid Act Now and inflated death rates announced by the WHO.

COVID Act Now is a website that says it is “built to enable political leaders to quickly make decisions in their Coronavirus response informed by best available data and modeling.”  The problem with this website is that predictions have fallen way short.

Numerous examples, including charts in the Federalist’s reporting, prove the COVID Act Now website predictions have been “wildly” wrong:

Michigan’s predictions for the next three months until July:

COVID Act Now predicted that by March 19, the state of Tennessee could expect 190 hospitalizations of patients with confirmed Wuhan virus. By March 19, they only had 15 patients hospitalized.

In Georgia, COVID Act Now predicted 688 hospitalizations by March 23. By that date, they had around 800 confirmed cases in the whole state, and fewer than 300 hospitalized.

Numerous other states have the same low numbers in contrast to the inflated predictions from the website. How did this happen?

The Federalist answers the question with details of who is behind CovidActNow:

Founders of the site include Democratic Rep. Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins and three Silicon Valley tech workers and Democratic activists — Zachary Rosen, Max Henderson, and Igor Kofman — who are all also donors to various Democratic campaigns and political organizations since 2016. Henderson and Kofman donated to the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2016, while Rosen donated to the Democratic National Committee, recently resigned Democratic Rep. Katie Hill and other Democratic candidates. Before building the COVID Act Now website, Kofman created an online game designed to raise $1 million for the eventual 2020 Democratic candidate and defeat President Trump. The game’s website is now defunct.

Are these activists pushing an agenda to get state leaders and local officials to panic and shut down everything?

The second and very important thing to note is the inflated death rate provided by the WHO on the coronavirus.

What most people see and panic about is the number of cases of coronavirus and not the total number of deaths. What should be noted is the number of deaths per 100,000, according to the Mises Institute:

On March 3rd of this year, Director-General of the WHO Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus claimed that the fatality rate for the coronavirus was 3.4%. That percentage is wrong because asymptomatic people were not included in the data.  This was first reported as wrong by The Gateway Pundit.

Dr. Deborah Birx set the record straight:

President Trump: I think the main factor is the mortality rate. We talked about the mortality rate when we first started, people were thinking about 3 and 4 percent and now they’re talking about a much lower number. I think it is a number that will be a lot different than people thought.

Dr. Birx: The mortality rate is driven almost exclusively by what we have been talking about by people with preexisting conditions and older. So that has become from the very beginning that was our emphasis. When we started two or three weeks ago talking with one another, our focus has been how do we protect those with preexisting conditions and the elderly…

President Trump: It’s a lot lower than we originally thought. Frankly, it’s a lot lower.

Dr. Birx: Yes, you know the estimate in Wuhan was originally. It was over three percent. When they (Chinese) looked outside of Wuhan it was 0.7%. In South Korea it was 0.7 to 0.8%. That’s like a tyranny of averages. That’s probably missing 50-60% of the data because no one was testing asymptomatics. Remember in every country you had to be symptomatic to get a test. So we’re making case fatality rates when we’re missing a significant part of the data.
