The words are difficult to square with the scene police say they found inside room 2030.

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, is accused of killing her husband and their 3-year-old son at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Now, court records are revealing what she allegedly said after the two were already dead.

According to investigators, Harrison called 911 on Monday afternoon and asked for help taking her own life. She allegedly told the dispatcher that her husband and son were already gone.

The New York Post, citing the police affidavit, reports that Harrison continued speaking about death as officers and emergency medical personnel responded.

During the ambulance ride, she allegedly talked about how hard she worked to be a good person, mother and wife. She then said, “It wasn’t supposed to end like this,” according to the affidavit.

The document says she also asked medical personnel questions about the depth of a vein in her wrist so she would know for another attempt. Investigators say she expressed frustration that her blood was clotting even though she had taken medication intended to thin it.

When detectives later advised Harrison of her rights at the hospital, she allegedly replied that she was “suicidal, not stupid” and declined to discuss what had happened.

Those alleged statements do not answer the question hanging over this case: Why?

No motive has been announced. What authorities have laid out so far is a grim timeline inside a resort built around family vacations.

The Pocono Township Police Department says officers were sent to room 2030 at the Scotrun resort at approximately 3:13 p.m. on October 12 after receiving the report of a distressed woman who said she needed help ending her life.

Officers contacted Harrison and observed injuries on her. While checking the room for the rest of the family, they found an adult man and a 3-year-old boy dead, hospitalized Harrison and immediately began treating the two deaths as homicides.

Police identified the adult victim as Harrison’s husband, Charles Harrison. The child has been identified in court records only by his initials, and authorities have not released his name publicly.

Harrison has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide under Pennsylvania law. Police say she was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Daniel Kresge on October 13, denied bail and placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility while awaiting a preliminary hearing at a later date.

The department says the investigation remains active and that updates will be released through its official Crimewatch page and social channels. The arrest record identifies the case as reference number 2026-00011728 and lists the disposition as bail denied.

Pocono Township officers are working with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, the county coroner, Pennsylvania State Police forensic personnel, St. Luke’s EMS and Great Wolf Lodge security. Police have described the case as an isolated domestic tragedy and said there is no threat to the wider community.

The charges are allegations. Harrison is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

WGAL, reporting from the probable-cause affidavit, says the family had checked into the resort on September 21 and later extended the reservation through October 13.

Surveillance reportedly showed all three family members entering the room Sunday evening. Later that night, Harrison and her husband were seen going to the arcade and returning to the room.

Investigators said the surveillance review showed no additional activity at the room’s door after the couple returned. Officers later recovered a large butcher-style knife and a smaller knife from the bathroom, according to the affidavit.

Great Wolf Lodge told reporters that the knives were not the type supplied by the resort. The company called the deaths an isolated family tragedy and said it was cooperating fully with law enforcement.

Earlier social-media photos showed the family smiling together in ordinary moments. That contrast makes the allegations even harder to comprehend.

As WLT Report covered earlier, authorities have described the deaths as an isolated domestic tragedy and said there is no continuing danger to resort guests or the surrounding community.

The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, county coroner, Pennsylvania State Police forensic personnel, St. Luke’s EMS and resort security are assisting with the continuing investigation.

Two people are dead: a father and a little boy. Harrison’s alleged words may offer a glimpse into her state of mind after the fact, but they do not explain how a family trip ended in room 2030.
