House Majority Whip James Clyburn spoke with NPR about the presidential campaign and Joe Biden. He spoke out on the fact that he believes Joe Biden should be named the nominee and that the Democrats should “shut the primary down” if Biden’s success in the mini Super Tuesday panned out:

“I think when the night is over, Joe Biden will be the prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic nomination, and quite frankly, if the night ends the way it has begun, I think it is time for us to shut this primary down, it is time for us to cancel the rest of these debates…because you don’t do anything but get yourself in trouble if you continue in this contest when it’s obvious that the numbers will not shake out for you,” Clyburn told NPR.

James Clyburn also told NPR that he’s “pushing for an African American female” to be Joe Biden’s vice-presidential pick:

“I really believe that we’ve reached a point in this country where African American women need to be rewarded for the loyalty that they’ve given to this party.”

Clyburn truly believes it’s ok to just scr*w Bernie Sanders again and stop the primaries:

He told NPR he wants to make Joe Biden the “prohibitive nominee” and that the DNC should “step in, make an assessment and determine whether they ought to have any more debates.” Clyburn continued by insinuating that the Democrats don’t want Biden to continue because they’re afraid he’ll make a mistake and damage his candidacy: “People will say things that you cannot overcome.”

James Carville also wants to “shut this puppy down”…he spoke to MSNBC last night and said he thinks the voters have spoken and that the Democrats don’t need a debate between Biden and Sanders.

Democrats are in a frenzy to try and shut down the debates and primaries to protect Joe Biden. Is Bernie getting screwed again by Democrats?

James Clyburn (see below) and James Carville both said they believe that Biden should be the nominee and that there shouldn’t be more debates or primaries.

James Carville went full “this is about the voters” mode during an interview with Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.  He said Sanders should drop out of the presidential race to “bring this party together.”

“Let’s shut this puppy down and let’s move on and worry about November. This thing is decided. There’s no reason to keep it going, not even a day longer.”

An extended video of Carville’s interview:

The truth is the Democrats are freaking out about a debate for obvious reasons. Joe can’t do it.
