I have said for a long time that I am fairly confident many people high up in the Trump Administration read WLT Report, and it looks like JD Vance might be one!

But I have a feeling JD Vance read this report from last night and responded to it today:

The REAL Reason Behind Why The United States Just Took Over Venezuela?

In that report which was extremely complimentary of what the Trump Administration just accomplished, I itemized three reasons why I think we just overtook Venezuela that I think are bigger than drug trafficking and regime change.

Basically, this is what I think is really going -- the story behind the story, so to speak.

And today, perhaps just a coincidence, but JD Vance posted this responded point by point to my itemized list.

You see a lot claims that Venezuela has nothing to do with drugs because most of the fentanyl comes from elsewhere. I want to address this:

First off, fentanyl isn't the only drug in the world and there is still fentanyl coming from Venezuela (or at least there was).

Second, cocaine, which is the main drug trafficked out of Venezuela, is a profit center for all of the Latin America cartels. If you cut out the money from cocaine (or even reduce it) you substantially weaken the cartels overall. Also, cocaine is bad too!

Third, yes, a lot of fentanyl is coming out of Mexico. That continues to be a focus of our policy in Mexico and is a reason why President Trump shut the border on day one.

Fourth, I see a lot of criticism about oil. About 20 years ago, Venezuela expropriated American oil property and until recently used that stolen property to get rich and fund their narcoterrorist activities. I understand the anxiety over the use of military force, but are we just supposed to allow a communist to steal our stuff in our hemisphere and do nothing? Great powers don't act like that.

The United States, thanks to President Trump's leadership, is a great power again. Everyone should take note.

Drugs?

Regime change?

I don't think so.

I think some level of stopping the drugs is true and certainly a great outcome.  But I believe a secondary outcome.

Regime change?

I don't think President Trump has any interest in regime change.  He's criticized it his whole life.  He wants to bring our troops home.

So then why would he do something that clearly goes against everything President Trump has preached over the last 30 years?

Because I don't think this was about either of those two things.

I think it's about at least three big things that I can see, and probably even more that I'm not privy to.

Here's what I think this move was all about....

ONE: You may not know this, but dating back to the Bushes, Venezuela became a huge CIA hub.

Literally a large chunk of what ails the world probably originated or had some times to our CIA in Venezuela.

So I think President Trump is systematically dismantling that and setting the Deep State back decades.

TWO: It has long been rumored that a large part of the election rigging was "outsourced" to companies with operations in Venezuela.

You also may not realize this, but Iran has deep ties to Venezuela, with many of their drone factories and other assets in the country.

Following Maduro's capture on January 3, 2026, U.S. forces have reportedly seized control of these, with some struck by CIA drones. Non-installation assets like drones and boats add another 20–30 items, but these are categorized as equipment rather than fixed sites.
