As President Trump continues to escalate the pressure, both Greenland and Denmark are now asking for a meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Denmark owns Greenland (at least for the time being.)
Up until today, they have rejected all of President Trump’s notions about purchasing Greenland.
But now, it looks like that could be changing…

Greenland’s foreign minister wrote about the purpose of the requested meeting with Rubio in a post on Facebook.
Barron’s has her statement:
Greenland said on Tuesday that it had asked, along with Denmark, for a speedy meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio after US President Donald Trump renewed claims on the Arctic island.
“The objective of the meeting is to discuss the significant statements made by the United States about Greenland,” a Danish autonomous territory, Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt wrote in a Facebook post.
President Trump is not joking around about acquiring Greenland.
Over the weekend, President Trump re-iterated the necessity of the U.S. having Greenland for national security reasons.

President Trump’s team has not confirmed a date for the meeting with Greenland or Denmark, yet.
But, getting negotiations started is a major development.
If a deal happens, it will be historic and a great thing for both our nation and Greenland.
Time and time again, President Trump has proven that he’s the best at getting what he wants for the good of America and the world.
