Multiple people sustained injuries after a helicopter crashed in Huntington Beach, California.

Reports indicated at least three people were hospitalized.

“Locals are reporting that the helicopter is stuck between a building and palm trees, according to the Citizen app. It’s unclear if there are any serious injuries at this time,” Collin Rugg wrote.

Details are still emerging, but initial dispatch information from the California Highway Patrol indicates the crash was reported around 2:09 p.m. near the Cars ‘N Copters on the Coast event site, in front of the Waterfront Beach Resort.

Footage obtained by KTLA shows the helicopter descending toward the street as spectators look on, when it suddenly drops and crashes near the roadway.

According to a Huntington Beach police spokesperson, two people were on board the helicopter and both made it out. Three people in the street were injured and all were transported to a hospital.

An investigation is underway after a helicopter crashed near an intersection in Huntington Beach Saturday afternoon, injuring several people.

The aircraft came down on PCH and Huntington Street.

The wreckage is wedged inside trees against the front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Citizen app video shows first responders at the scene, along with bystanders.
