Please pray for Bre Payton and her family.
The Federalist is reporting that 26-year-old Bre Payton, a “beloved staff writer for The Federalist” has passed away.
Bre joined The Federalist in April of 2015. In the space of just a few years, she became a rising star on cable news, regularly featured as a political commentator on Fox News Channel, Fox Business Channel, and OANN.
Bre brightened the lives of everyone around her. She was joyful, hard-working, and compassionate, and she leaves behind friends and colleagues for whom she brought nothing but sweetness and light.
Though we are heartbroken and devastated by Bre’s death, we are comforted in the knowledge that she was a woman who lived a life marked by deep Christian faith, trusting in her Savior, Jesus Christ – in the God who promises the way our story ends is that “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more.”
Kevin McCullough of KMC radio, tweeted that Bre “contracted H1N1 flu (Swine flu) and doctors believe meningitis.” The radio host claimed that Bre was a “listener favorite and a genuine Christ follower!”

Those who knew Bre Payton have nothing but kind words for Payton, a well-respected journalist, a follower of Christ and amazing human being.
Sr. Political Analyst at Fox News, Brit Hume tweeted:
This is terribly sad. So young, talented and full of life and promise, her life suddenly snuffed out.

David Reaboi tweets:
@Bre_payton was one of the nicest, toughest and sharpest young writers on the scene. She was engaged, knowledgeable and motivated. Outside of professional settings, she was lovely and charming. It’s a terrible, heartbreaking tragedy that she’s gone. Rest In Peace.

Leftist publications like The Wrap used the opportunity of Bre’s death to take a jab at the seriously ill journalist at The Federalist, by using a very unflattering photo of her along with a slam about her working for a “right-wing site” (not conservative, but “right-wing”).
Bre Payton, Staff Writer for Right-Wing Site The Federalist, in Coma After Sudden Illness. The comments below their tweet were mostly from Twitter users who found their headline to be disgusting, disrespectful and in very bad taste.
Their follow-up tweet, announcing her death was a big improvement.
