Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is not having a very good Thursday, but he has only himself to blame.

The Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General just sent in a criminal referral for McCabe to the U.S. Attorney’s Office located in Washington.

Not looking good for Mr. McCabe.

The Daily Wire is reporting:

Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz released a report last week on McCabe which stated that McCabe “lacked candor” on four different occasions.

Horowitz’s report also said that McCabe was not authorized to disclose the existence of the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation because it did not meet the Justice Department’s requirements of being “public interest” because he allegedly leaked the information to “advance his personal interests.”

What McCabe and his big boss James Comey just don’t seem to understand is that when you take a high ranking job with the federal government, you are sworn to protect the Constitution and to ensure that the government runs efficiently and justly.

Willy-nilly leaking of information puts lots of people at risk and damages our liberty, while also poking holes in our national security.

There is a right way and a wrong way to pursue internal matters, and leaking things is not the right way.
