Donald Trump Jr. testified before the Senate Intel Committee today in a redo of his prior testimony.
It’s being reported that he wanted to make sure there was no stone unturned as far as his testimony so the press and Democrats couldn’t say he backed out of testifying. He had already testified for more than two dozen hours but was asked to come back for the three hour testimony.
The problem with doing this is that it opens Don Jr. up for a perjury charge if he deviates one iota from his prior testimony. According to Daily Mail, during his testimony today, he took the risk and ignored his own lawyers’ objections to Senators’ questions.
After his testimony, Don Jr.said: ‘If there needed to be clarification because Michael Cohen…who, let’s not forget, is serving time right now for lying to these very investigative bodies…I’m happy to do that. I don’t think I changed anything of what I’ve said because there was nothing to change. I’m glad that this is finally over and we’re able to put some final clarity on that. And I think the committee understands that.’

The problem with Don Jr. trying to set the record straight is that the Democrats will do whatever they can to try and damage his testimony in some way. Remember that Democrat Chris Coons made the claim that Don Jr. lied during his testimony:
NBC News reported that Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., says the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., may have provided “false testimony” to the Senate Judiciary Committee when he was asked about the Trump campaign’s involvement with foreign governments and foreign nationals.
.@DonaldJTrumpJr will be hauled before a Senate committee tomorrow because his prior testimony purportedly conflicts with the testimony of Mr. Gates and Mr. Cohen, two people who are either in prison for lying or going to prison for lying! pic.twitter.com/6CaX9aqp4p
