One year ago, with absolutely no legislative oversight, Joe Biden signed an executive order forcing automakers to produce electric vehicles by demanding that half of all vehicles sold must be electric by 2030.

Both unremarkable Democrat Senators from Michigan, Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters stood behind Joe Biden and clapped like seals as he drilled the final nail into the heart of the nation’s top auto-manufacturing state.

Today, as America heads into what appears to be a brutal Democrat-led recession, Ford Motor Company announced they would be cutting thousands of workers, mostly in Michigan.

The Detroit News reports -Thousands of Ford Motor Co. employees and contractors, mostly in Michigan and Metro Detroit, are facing layoffs as the automaker looks to tighten its purse strings to ramp up its electric vehicle transition.

A month after initial reports of impending job cuts at the Blue Oval, Executive Chairman Bill Ford and CEO Jim Farley sent a memo to employees Monday alerting them that 2,000 salaried jobs and 1,000 contract jobs will be eliminated. Ford employs about 31,000 salaried workers in North America. The automaker didn’t say how many contractors it has. The jobs included are in the U.S., Canada, and India. The layoffs are effective Sept. 1.

“As you know, we are in the midst of a significant transformation of our company. Our industry and the business environment in which we operate are changing with breathtaking speed,” Ford and Farley wrote.

In 2020, the Detroit-based UAW endorsed Joe Biden for President.

Electric vehicles, which Biden strongly supports, could usher in a new era of American manufacturing jobs for the UAW. But they also hurt the labor movement and undermine Biden’s goal of creating 1 million new jobs in the U.S. auto industry.

The vehicles require far fewer parts than those with internal combustion engines, which means potentially fewer factory assembly jobs. A lot of the parts for EVs are made outside the U.S., as well as the vehicle assembly — where workers are paid far lower wages.

Much like businesses in China are forced to conform to the Communist Chinese government, Joe Biden’s executive order to transition to electric vehicles has forced Ford Motor Company to conform. Unfortunately, under the leadership of Biden’s failed VP candidate Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Ford Motor Company made the decision to move their electric vehicle plants to other more business-friendly states. Their decision to build electric vehicles outside of Michigan, the automotive capital of the world, was a huge mark against Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan’s least pro-business governor in decades, who was left flat-footed when it was revealed she had no idea of Ford’s $11.4 billion plan to build their new electric vehicles in facilities located in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Watch Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s response to her incompetent leadership that led to the loss of thousands of jobs and an $11.4 billion investment in Michigan:

So, what’s Democrat Governor Whitmer’s plan to help Michigan residents who are struggling to put food on their tables and gas in their tanks? She’s fighting to shut down the Line 5 Pipeline that supplies much of the gas and propane to Michigan residents and Canadian residents across the southern MI border, leading to astronomical increases in fuel prices that are already at historical highs.

MI GOP candidate for governor Tudor Dixon appeared on Fox News to discuss Governor Whitmer’s radical position on shutting down the pipeline and reveal why the tyrannical governor who’s responsible for destroying the economy in Michigan with brutal and excessive COVID lockdowns isn’t fit to be a dog-catcher, much less the CEO of a top manufacturing state.

Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Joe Biden are cut from the same tyrannical cloth—and don’t let anyone tell you they’re not. Only last week, Tudor Dixon shared a brutal video of Gretchen Whitmer admitting that she’s on the same team as Joe Biden.

This video should come in very handy for Dixon when the November 2022 election rolls around.
