Nancy Pelosi just appointed Ilhan Omar to the Foreign Affairs Committee. This is a shocking move even for Pelosi. Freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is openly anti-semitic and anti-Israel so how can she be involved anywhere near anything to do with foreign relations?

Republican leaders came out to denounce the move and to call for Pelosi to rescind the appointment:

Republican Speaker Kevin McCarthy:

“I would love to know what changed because Democratic leaders just promoted a pro-BDS Democrat to a key committee that deals with the State of Israel. Anti-Semitism has no place in Congress and certainly not on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.”

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise came out to say that  Omar has a “documented history of making anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks. He slammed Democrats by saying, “House Democrats have now just endorsed that ideology.”

Conference chair Rep. Liz Cheney called the move by Leader Nancy Pelosi “shameful”. She even urged her to rescind the appointment of the radical anti-semite.

Omar tweeted out her “excitement”:

In what can only be explained as an utterly bizarre interview…the newly anointed Democrat US Rep. from Minnesota, Ilhan Omar, appeared on CNN to discuss some of her rather disturbing behavior on Twitter.

It’s very rare that we give CNN credit for anything, but CNN hosts Poppy Harlow and Jim Sciutto deserve credit for their hard-hitting interview with the sitting Somali-Muslim congresswoman, Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

During the interview, CNN hosts, Jim Sciutto and Poppy Harlow didn’t hold back any of the serious questions that actual journalist should be asking of the radical anti-Israel Congresswoman.

Things really got ugly for Omar when CNN host Jim Sciutto asked Omar about a tweet from yesterday that went viral about Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

Yesterday, the newly anointed Muslim lawmaker retweeted a video that was posted to Twitter by Muslim activist and host of Re.Sight Muslim, Qasim Rashid that showed a conversation between Senator Lindsey Graham and CNN’s Poppy Harlow following the announcement of Trump’s travel ban from top terror nations. The part that Qasim Rashid leaves out, is that Graham was still stinging from his 1% poll ratings against President Trump during the 2016 GOP presidential primaries. He was also fully aligned at the time with the virulent anti-Trump senator, John McCain. Since that time, Graham has found himself in alignment with many of Trump’s policies and was his biggest cheerleader in the confirmation process of Justice Kavanaugh.

Never mind the background or history between GOP Senator Lindsey Graham and President Trump, the Freshman Congresswoman tweets, “They got to him, he is compromised!”, suggesting that somehow, Lindsey Graham overnight became a fan of President Trump, when her accusation is not only ignorant propaganda, it is also extraordinarily reckless, considering she is a sitting U.S. Congresswoman.

Here is her “gotcha” tweet:

CNN host Jim Sciutto asked Omar about her tweet, as CNN placed it up on the screen for their viewers. Sciutto asked, “We need to ask you about this. I wonder if you would explain what are you talking about there. This has sparked a fair amount of criticism.”

Omar, who appeared again, to be stunned by his line of questioning, responded nervously, all while trying to maintain a smile on her face, “So, over the last three years, we have seen many times where Sen. Lindsey Graham has told us how dangerous this president could be if he was given the opportunity to be in the White House and all of a sudden he’s … made a turnaround. I am pretty sure that there is something happening with him, whether it is, you know, something that has to do with his funding when it comes to running for office, whether it has something to do with the polling that they might have in his district [sic], or whether it has to do with some sort of leadership within the Senate. He is somehow compromised to no longer stand up for the truth and is fighting to protect the oath that he took in serving the American people.”

Both CNN hosts seemed to be stunned when she claimed that she was “pretty sure” that “he is somehow compromised.” Sciutto appeared to be stunned by her poor explanation for her unfounded accusations, saying, “But that’s quite a charge to make. You say you’re ‘pretty sure’, based on what evidence? What facts? That’s a remarkable comment to make about a sitting U.S. Senator.”

Omar then stuttered and attempted to explain her lie, “The..the…the… the evidence really is um, present to us. It’s being presented to us in the way he’s behaving.”

CNN host Poppy Harlow, who appeared to be at the end of her rope with Omar, chimed in, “But that’s not evidence! That’s your opinion.”

Omar, quickly responded, “My tweet was just an opinion, based on what I see to be visible to me.” She then attempted to claim that other Americans certainly agree with her.

Watch:

Near the end of the video, Harlow switched gears and started asking Omar about a tweet that she sent out in 2012. Harlow read the tweet aloud, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” The CNN host asked her about her tweet, saying, “You’ve commented a lot since then, trying to explain that, and I wonder just what your message is to Jewish Americans who find that deeply offensive?”

US Congresswoman Ihan Omar appeared to be stunned by her line of questioning and attempted to shame the CNN host for how she framed the question, saying, “Oh—uh…that’s uh, really a regrettable way of expressing that. I uh—don’t know how my comments would be offensive to Jewish Americans.” Omar went on the explain that she was only addressing what was happening during the Gaza war, so why should anyone be offended?

Watch the incredible exchange here:

Here is the 2012 tweet Harlow is referring to:

Many on social media are suggesting that Omar is eluding to evidence Republicans must have that Senator Lindsey Graham is gay, and that somehow this would end his career. It’s interesting to watch how Democrats are being given a pass on this issue.

Omar appeared to be stunned that she should not be able to treat opinion as fact. Is this woman a danger to our country? Should she really be responsible for making laws that affect Americans who don’t want an open anti-Semite holding one of the highest positions in American politics? What do you think?
