THE LEFT IS FREAKING OUT OVER A PITH HELMET THAT FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP WORE DURING HER TRIP TO AFRICA…They have ignored her Africa trip up until now. They just had to nitpick about that hat she wore during a safari. They can’t help themselves.

CNN reports that the pith helmet is connected to the European military uniform worn during the colonialist era in Africa where white Europeans would also wear the white helmet during visits to the African continent:

THE LEFT THINKS IT’S RACIST TO WEAR THIS HAT?

Melania Trump has prompted consternation, some anger and much derision by choosing a pith helmet – a symbol of colonial rule across Africa – as headwear for a brief safari in Kenya

CNN REPORTED:

The hat was widely used by European militaries in their colonies throughout Africa and in India, according to Gentleman’s Gazette, and became a popular sun hat for civilian Europeans visiting or living in colonies in the 1930s. US President Theodore Roosevelt wore his pith helmet while on the Smithsonian-Roosevelt African Expedition after his presidency in 1909.

A Professor of African History at St. Lawrence University and Chair of the Board of Directors of Africa Network tweeted out his distaste for the first lady’s hat choice.

The media has ignored the Africa trip that Melania took…We’re sure the fashion magazines will also ignore her stunning sense of style and elegance…It’s a shame they don’t think about the women of America and around the world who support Melania Trump. She’s always impeccably dressed from head to toe. She got beauty AND brains!

The media is all-in on the colonialist label for Melania. When you Google “Melania Trump Africa” you get this from Google:

The only people missing out on this wonderful woman’s tenure as America’s First Lady are those in the media who are anti-Trump. Everyone else adores her!

MAYBE SHE SHOULD HAVE WORD THIS: FLOTUS!
