New documents discovered by BizPac review indicate that the CDC Director only met with parents once to discuss schools reopening during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The documents were discovered after the CDC came under fire for its cozy relationship with teachers’ unions during the pandemic which many claim influenced its guidance that kept schools closed for over a year after the pandemic started.

Randi Weingarten, the President of the American Federation of Teachers, defended teachers’ unions and the CDC on Twitter in 2021, saying that the CDC also met with groups representing parents.

The rountable, which is the only known meeting that the CDC had with parents groups, was comprised of five people who all represented left-wing organizations.

Caitlin Sutherland, who is the executive director of Americans for Public Trust, said that the meeting was “nothing more than placating the demands of liberal activists from dark money groups”.

According to new documents, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky had exactly one meeting with parents on schools reopening and it was populated by left-wing activists funded by Democratic megadonors.

Those documents were obtained by Fox News Digital and they show that among the leftists at the meeting were the head of a transgender-aligned group along with other activists who are being funded by the deep pockets of wealthy Democrats.

During the pandemic, Walensky was notorious for claiming that the CDC had consulted parents’ needs for guidance on reopening schools despite only holding one 30-minute meeting.

During that single meeting, American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten took the opportunity to bash Fox News Digital and other publications for reporting on the CDC’s closeness with teachers’ unions. She tweeted in May 2021 that the media outlets “are probably never going to let their readers know that the CDC met with parents too.”
