A spokesman for the Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina says the city is regretting signing up to host the RNC Convention in 2020. There are Charlotte City Council members who would like to have the city back out of hosting because they don’t like President Trump. Yes, more sour grapes and cries of “racism” from the leftists in the city made up of mostly blacks and Latinos.
Fox News is reporting that some local leaders have objected to the Republican convention being held in the state and have looked at ways to back out of the agreement to host the convention. Last month, the Charlotte City Council briefly discussed the issue but took no action. A spokesman for Mayor Vi Lyles told Fox News last month that the city’s attorney will continue to explore options for Charlotte to exit the deal.
According to the Huffington Post, the board can’t back out of the convention without big legal fees, so their solution was to “push a resolution” against President Trump last week:
The anti-Trump members of the board successfully pushed a resolution last week that “strongly condemns all of President Donald Trump’s racist and xenophobic social media tweets and comments.”
In spite of the negative feelings, the new logo for the convention was just unveiled and includes a symbol from Charlotte’s past right in the middle. Oh boy!
The logo for the convention has the Republican elephant in the forefront, but a symbol from Charlotte is also very prominent. A crown is behind the elephant symbolizing the city’s nickname of “Queen City”.
The unveiling of the logo was held at Spectrum Arena and is the location for the 2020 RNC Convention. This is also the kickoff to the search for thousands of volunteers who will help host the convention.
Republican Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted out the logo:
Our team is working hard to make sure we re-elect @realDonaldTrump and Keep America Great in 2020.

City Council member Braxton Winston and others are against the convention but lost in a close vote of 6-5 to continue with plans to host the convention.
Where would you like to see the convention held? San Francisco? New York? Why not take MAGA to the liberals in those states?
