West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin just announced what he plans on doing tomorrow on the vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. Manchin was trying to speak with a Fox News reporter but protesters started shouting at him. He is a firm yes…

“Based on all of the information I have available to me, including the recently completed FBI report, I have found Judge Kavanaugh to be a qualified jurist who will follow the Constitution and determine cases based on the legal findings before him.”

With Collins/Manchin as yeas, Kavanaugh should get 51 yeas if Daines is present. Confirmation would be 50-49 if Daines is absent. Daines is attending his daughter’s wedding tomorrow.
Collins is a YES:
“When passion is most inflamed is when fairness is most in jeopardy” – Senator Susan Collins
Senator Susan Collins made everyone wait breathlessly for her final decision on a vote on Judge Kavanaugh…She had lunch with Senator Mitch McConnell earlier today. After the lunch, McConnell said he felt confident she would vote yes.
The pressure on Senator Collins was huge as protesters waited for her decision. They sang “We Shall Overcome” in the hallway. The protesters were yelling in the Senate Gallery and had to be silenced.
Collins went through Kavanaugh’s opinions on just about everything that had to do with the law. She went point by point to explain why she feels Kavanaugh is the right pick.
Collins began her speech by ripping the left as she called the process dirty and claimed opposition to Trump’s choice began before it was even announced. She threw shade at the Women’s March for the XX:

Sen. Susan Collins: “Today we have come to the conclusion of a confirmation process that has become so dysfunctional it looks more like a caricature of a gutter-level political campaign than a solemn occasion.”
“Our Supreme Court confirmation process has been in steady decline for more than 30 years. One can only hope that the Kavanaugh nomination is where the process has finally hit rock bottom.”

Collins spent time talking about how important the presumption of innocence is to American law. She went through the witnesses and how none could corroborate Blasey Ford’s accusations.
Collins says the decision is up to each Senator and is not a criminal trial…”The allegations failed to meet the standard”
She says she’s alarmed and disturbed by the leftist claim that confirming Kavanaugh means the Senate condones sexual assault…”The MeToo movement is real.”
She called out those who cared “little or not at all” about Blasey Ford but more about the politics.
Collins said she couldn’t find one reason why she shouldn’t vote for Judge Kavanaugh…She’s a yes.
THE LEFT GOES BERZERK ON COLLINS EARLIER TODAY:
Earlier today, Collins voted yes on the cloture vote but said she would make an announcement at 3:00 p.m. ET on her final decision:
Maine Senator Susan Collins was confronted by protesters as she exited her office to vote for cloture this morning. A woman immediately got in her face as she came out. Collins said she would vote yes on the cloture vote to pass Judge Kavanaugh through. Notice how the group went nuts with screams and yelling as Collins tried to leave on an elevator. The intimidation factor was huge. Watch how Collins stands at the back of the elevator just staring straight ahead. This must be frightening.

Collins gave a very well thought out speech and argument for Judge Kavanaugh…Well Done!
