Surprise guest Lynn Patton stood behind Rep. Mark Meadows to testify that she disagrees with Cohen’s claim that President Trump is a racist:
This was a stunning rebuke of Cohen and you could see just how uncomfortable he was answering the questions from Meadows.
Cohen claimed President Trump is a racist and has said racist things.
Rep.MarkMeadows: What proof do you have to back up your claims?
Michael Cohen: I don’t have any recordings or proof of him saying anything racist
Micheal Cohen: @realDonaldTrump is a racist and has said racist things
Rep. @RepMarkMeadows: What proof do you have to back up your claims ?

This hearing has become a joke with Cohen admitting there can be no corroboration of what he’s saying:
“I don’t know” – Cohen
Best Cohen question BY FAR is asked by DWS
"How can we corroborate what you're saying?"
"I don't know."

THE HEARING GOT OFF TO A RIP ROARING START:
The Cohen hearing got off to a rocky start with Rep. Mark Meadows trying to delay (see below) because evidence came in after the 24-hour rule that requires it to be in before the hearing.
This dog and pony show by Democrats will only backfire because people will see that Congress called a proven liar to testify for political reasons. Their goal is to try and damage President Trump.
Rep. Elijah Cummings delivered a biased opening statement saying,‘Ladies and gentlemen, the days of this committee protecting the President at all costs are over.’ President Trump hasn’t been protected in any way, shape or form! He’s been targeted since he announced he was running!
Jim Jordan calls today’s hearing “The Michael Cohen hearing presented by Lanny Davis.”
“That’s right, Lanny Davis choreographed the whole darn the Clinton’s best friend.”

Rep. Jim Jordan is one of the few straight shooters in Congress so it’s no surprise that he went scorched earth on Cohen and Lanny Davis.

Mark Meadows asserted that House rules had been broken and that the hearing should be delayed:
Rep. Mark Meadows moves to postpone Michael Cohen's testimony, saying evidence was submitted too late: "It was an intentional effort by this witness and his advisors to once again show his disdain for this body." https://t.co/tDrJuxMQi3 pic.twitter.com/6AOAi2akaN

Elijah Cummings and the other Democrats overruled Meadows’ request.
