Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard recently announced her departure from the Democratic party, saying that it has become a party that is “under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness”.
Major conservative commentators and politicians applauded her decision, while liberals fell in to normal tropes of claiming she was using “dog whistles” and accusing her of being a Russian asset.
Since announcing her decision to leave the Democratic party, Gabbard has also started endorsing Republican candidates in key races.
Last week, she endorsed Trump-endorsed Kari Lake, who is running for Governor in Arizona.
Today, she announced another big endorsement in a race that has started to tighten over the course of the last two weeks.
Michigan Gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon announced that she received Gabbard’s endorsement in a press release issued via email.
She also said that Gabbard will be coming to Michigan to campaign alongside her in the final weeks of the midterm elections.
Dixon made the following statement in the press release she sent out:
“Voters of all backgrounds are tired of being crushed by radical liberal politicians and their tone-deaf policies. Families are struggling to make ends meet as they get no relief from Biden-Whitmer’s inflation, rising gas and grocery prices, and skyrocketing violent crime.
“I am focusing on the issues that matter to Michigan families: better schools, safer communities, and improving the economy.
“Today’s Democratic Party has moved so far left and is out of touch with reality. They have abandoned American principles to instead focus on their unpopular woke agenda.
“Tulsi understands that and has been a voice of reason and common sense across party lines. She is courageously speaking her mind and showing us all what it means to be a leading independent thinker.
“I am honored to have her endorsement and cannot wait to welcome her to the state of Michigan next week!”
