The Capitol Police took matters into their own hands after the Dirksen Building was flooded with screaming, screeching protesters who just couldn’t handle the loss of votes in the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Just to give you an idea of the lunacy, Senator Kennedy posted this video on Twitter from earlier today:

Capitol Police totally cleared the entire fourth floor where Senator Susan Collins’ office is located. It’s about time they took control of the insanity happening outside the offices of different Senators and even in the hallways.
Maybe it was because earlier today the protesters scared the daylights out of Collins when she emerged from her fourth floor office to announce a yes vote on cloture. She was immediately screamed at by a pack of crazed protesters:
BREAKING: @SenatorCollins addresses the press and others before heading to the Capitol building. She says she will be voting yes today to make the final vote tomorrow. And will announce her FINAL vote later today for @BrettKavanaugh #mepolitcs #KavanaughHearings pic.twitter.com/alBomkgwkr

The fourth floor doors were eventually locked:
