Video is circulating of what seems to be a tense exchange between Barack Obama and Joe Biden, with Biden looking worried as he seems to take in whatever Obama said.  Rumors are running rampant on social media as people are trying to decipher what was being said.

The exchange was caught on video just a short time ago at the funeral of Ethel Kennedy; Robert F. Kennedy’s widow, RFK Jr’s mother.  Several angles were caught of the conversation — I will post the full-screen versions below for easier viewing.

It almost seems as though Obama is scolding Biden for a moment, or chiding him — at which point Biden seems to take a moment to let whatever he has just heard sink in, before asking for some sort of clarification or attempting to get Obama to qualify his first statement in some sort of way.  Obama doesn’t seem to back away from whatever his first statement was, seemingly leaving Biden with some new information or insight to wrestle with.

Here is a longer video captured of the same moment from a slightly different angle.  The clip starts from in front and to the left of the pair, but cuts to a rear view that clearly shows Obama giving Biden some type of negative news, or information that is otherwise contrary to Biden’s view on the unknown topic.  Watch this:

The video of Obama and Biden’s interaction has gone viral, according to a story just published by Times Now News, which added that the conversation between the two democrats occurred prior to the start of the funeral.

President Joe Biden and Barrack Obama attended the funeral of Ethel Kennedy, the wife of the late Robert F. Kennedy, on Wednesday. The two Democrats were seen interacting before the funeral started, and a video of their interaction has gone viral. People on social media think that Obama was ‘scolding’ and ‘upset’ about something as he spoke to Biden.

Along with Obama and Biden, former President Bill Clinton also joined the memorial service at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington DC on Wednesday afternoon.

At the moment there has been no word from the White House or Obama about the nature of their conversation at the funeral.  In researching the video, I found another that shows a moment when Nancy Pelosi is speaking as part of the funeral service.

The camera is on the three former Presidents; Clinton, Obama, and Biden.  You can just barely make out Pelosi mentioning the three sitting together.  Watch Biden’s face as she gets to him.  The rumor is that Pelosi has not spoken to Biden since she helped orchestrate his ouster in a bloodless coup a few months back.  Biden seems pained as Pelosi presumably looks his way, as she praises him alongside the other two.

Ethel Kennedy’s funeral was held at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle according to a CBS News report.  She was 96, and died in her sleep earlier this month of a stroke.

Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert F. Kennedy and the mother of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is being memorialized in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, with the eulogy delivered by President Biden. Former President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton also spoke at the service, which is being held at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.

The human rights advocate, mother and grandmother died in her sleep earlier this month after a stroke. She was 96.

Obama called her a “big dose in a small package,” and a “spitfire from a young age.” She was passionate about everything, Obama said, from juvenile justice reform to civil rights.

“As serious as Ethel was about righting wrongs, she never seemed to take herself too seriously,” Obama said.

Clinton called her an “amazing fireball with continuous energy.”

“I thought your mother was the cat’s meow,” Clinton said of Ethel Kennedy.

Ethel Kennedy had not only political stars at her memorial service, but musical ones. Stevie Wonder and Kenny Chesney performed in her honor.

The matriarch of the storied Kennedy family is survived by nine children, 34 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Her grandson, Joe Kennedy III, said she was a “strong woman who has led a remarkably fulfilling life.”

It remains to be seen if information will be forthcoming regarding the topic of conversation between Biden and Obama.  We will bring you updates as they become available.
