President Trump is shaking up the tightly-contested Kentucky Senate race to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell’s seat.

I had a great meeting with Mr. Nate Morris, of Kentucky, yesterday. Nate is a terrific businessman and strong MAGA Warrior. I will be making an Endorsement for U.S. Senate in Kentucky shortly, but I’ve asked Nate to step aside from that Race to take a role in my Administration as an Ambassador. Nate is Oxford educated, tough as nails, LOVES our Great Nation, and will represent the United States very well, overseas, or otherwise. He has a great future in politics, or anything else he chooses to do. We will be announcing Nate’s new role soon. Stay tuned for my important Endorsement for Senate in Kentucky. It will be a big one, and straight from the heart. Republicans must win the Senate! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Nate Morris was the last candidate to be endorsed by Charlie Kirk before his tragic passing.
He was also financially backed by Elon Musk, who donated $10 million to help him get elected.
NBC News provided more details on his campaign:
Morris, 45, had pitched himself as an outsider with close ties to Trump’s MAGA movement. He announced his candidacy last year on Donald Trump Jr.’s podcast and spoke often of his friendship with Vice President JD Vance, who encouraged him to consider running. Morris also had won an endorsement from Charlie Kirk, the influential conservative activist, before Kirk was assassinated last September.
An entrepreneur who started a waste management company, Morris often played up his willingness to “trash” his rivals by tying them to McConnell. McConnell has tangled with Trump in recent years.
“I didn’t realize this was Bring Your Boys to Work day,” Morris joked last summer at a political event where he, McConnell, Barr and Cameron all spoke.

In another Truth Social post, President Trump announced which Republican candidate will be receiving his coveted endorsement in the Kentucky Senate race.
He is endorsing Andy Barr over former Kentucky Governor Daniel Cameron.

Proven Political Winner Andy Barr is running for the United States Senate in the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, a place I love and WON BIG, six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024!
I know Andy well, and he is always a Vote we can count on because he knows what it takes to GET THINGS DONE and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! I Endorsed Andy years ago, in his first Race, and all others, for Congress, and he never let me down — He is a 100% solid American Patriot! Andy Barr is a Strong Supporter of TERMINATING THE FILIBUSTER, before the Democrats do it (which they will, on Day One, if they get control of the U.S. Senate!). He will do everything in his power to get it done. It is desperately needed by the Republican Party to pass the SAVE AMERICA ACT, and all other things necessary for a strong and brilliant Country! In the Senate, Andy will fight tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Champion the Interests of our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, Safeguard our Elections, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.
Andy is the only Candidate who will easily defeat the Democrat in what will be one of the most important Elections in American History. He will help ensure Victory against these Radical Left, Country Destroying, THUGS. Andy Barr has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next United States Senator from Kentucky – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!

With President Trump’s endorsement, Andy Barr is almost assured victory in the Kentucky GOP primary, which will take place on May 19.
Politico has more:
This is a Guest Post from our friends over at WLTReport. View the original article here. The primary had been defined by Barr, Cameron and Morris seeking to distance themselves from McConnell, the lion of the Kentucky GOP who has grown into a Trump adversary and condemned the president for the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
That maneuvering away from McConnell speaks to the power of Trump’s endorsement in the state, Kentucky Republican strategist Tres Watson said. He noted that Cameron will be familiar with the gift Trump has given Barr — Cameron won the GOP primary for governor in 2023 after getting Trump’s backing.
“It’s all over but the shouting,” Watson said. “Donald Trump’s endorsement effectively ends this campaign and Andy Barr can begin to turn his attention to the general election.”
Barr’s allies celebrated Trump’s endorsement. Former Kentucky Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer said it shows that Barr has run a “perfect race” thus far.
“I’m pleased that President Trump has endorsed Andy Barr,” Thayer said. “He likes to support winners and it’s been clear right from the start that Andy has what it takes to win the primary and the general and hold the seat for Republicans.”
