Harris’ dress elegantly draped just past her feet, and featured an asymmetrical neckline. Her right sleeve flowed down the length of her gown — which was made from black and white cady silks for a “deep, luxurious texture,” the designer told the outlet. She added a subtle pop of color with a green jeweled ring and earrings. Attending alongside Harris, her husband Doug Emhoff wore a tuxedo by Brunello Cucinelli.

Her outfit was revealed by 15PercentPledge on Instagram in photos alongside Kamara.

Harris praised this year’s choice of theme in a statement to Vogue, stressing the immediate importance of combining activism and creativity on such a large platform.
