Donald Trump said Kamala Harris has refused to participate in the September 4th debate on Fox News.

“Comrade Kamala Harris has just informed us that she will NOT do the FoxNews Debate on September 4th. I am not surprised by this development because I feel that she knows it is very difficult, at best, for her to defend her record setting Flip-Flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in, including her statements that THERE WILL BE NO FRACKING IN PENNSYLVANIA and her HORRIBLE Performance on the Border, our ‘Border Czar,’ where millions of criminals and people from mental institutions and terrorists, have been allowed to pour into our Country, totally unchecked and unvetted. It’s called, and she LOVES IT, an OPEN BORDER!!!” Trump posted to Truth Social.

“Rather than the debate on September 4th, I have agreed to do a Tele-Town Hall, anchored by Sean Hannity, for Fox. It will take place in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Details to follow!” he added.

According to Newsweek, the Harris campaign has not confirmed they declined the September 4th Fox News debate.

Per Newsweek:

Trump began pushing for a Fox News debate with Harris after he backed out of participating in a September 10 debate on ABC News. The former president had previously agreed to the debate date while Biden was still running as the Democratic presidential nominee.

Trump later reversed course again and agreed to participate in the ABC debate. He has also accepted a debate invite from NBC News for September 25.

In a statement to Newsweek last week, a Harris campaign aide said over email, “We’re pleased Trump finally agreed to debate the vice president on ABC after previously trying to back out.”

“We are open to another debate, and we’ll continue those conversations,” the campaign official added. “But to be clear, any additional debate would be subject to Trump actually showing up on September 10. We’re not playing his games.”

“Kamala Harris backs out of the Fox News debate with Donald Trump, is apparently scared to debate Trump on the network,” Collin Rugg wrote.

“Trump said he will be doing a Town Hall event instead with Sean Hannity. The Harris campaign appears incredibly worried about putting her and Walz up against Trump and Vance as they only agreed to 2 presidential debates and 1 vice presidential debate,” he added.
