Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and the White House refer to migrants in DC as “political pawns” while expecting Texas to bear the brunt of illegal immigration
Illegal immigration is only an issue which Democrats care about when they are directly impacted by it. The White House, which has implemented what is essentially an open border policy which negatively impacts the people of Texas, Florida, Arizona, and other southern states, is now lamenting that these illegal immigrants being bused from Texas to the “sanctuary city” of DC are just “political pawns” of the Republican Party.
DC’s Democrat Mayor Bowser activated the National Guard to deal with the influx of illegal immigrants to the capital city, calling the presence of illegals in her city a “humanitarian crisis” and the Democrats in the White House are completely on her side… Despite the actual humanitarian crisis they caused at the southern border.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said officials talking with Bowser about the request.
“We have been in regular touch with Mayor Bowser and her team,” she said at her daily briefing.
“And I said this before … about Republicans using migrants as a political tool, and that is shameful and that is just wrong.”
“There is a process in place for managing migrants at the border. This is not it.”
She said migrants should be expelled under Title 42, or transferred into custody, or placed in the care of local organizations for proper processing.
In response, Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s office shot back that “Washington D.C. finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun and overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrants thanks to President Biden’s open border policies.”
Indeed, Democrats have long used illegal immigration as a political tool to wreak on the southern states. They only care about “humanitarian crises” and illegal immigration if their own cities are impacted.
The border is open due to Democrat policies, so it only makes sense that Democrat cities should bear the brunt of it.
