Wisconsin’s Democrat Governor Tony Evers will have 500 National Guard troops on hand to assist local law enforcement next week in anticipation of the verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.
Daily Mail reports – ‘The Kenosha community has been strong, resilient, and has come together through incredibly difficult times these past two years, and that healing is still ongoing. I urge folks who are otherwise not from the area to please respect the community by reconsidering any plans to travel there and encourage those who might choose to assemble and exercise their First Amendment rights to do so safely and peacefully,’ WI Governor Evers said.
Police forces across the nation are allegedly preparing for unrest over the Rittenhouse verdict.
Sergeant Betsy Brantner Smith, spokesman for the National Police Association and a retired cop who worked in the Chicago area for decades, said forces will not want to disclose exactly what they are doing for fear of alerting protesters who can then circumvent them.
‘I’d guess that perhaps they’re just trying to be prepared without too much being known to potential protesters. A lot of jurisdictions will be doing that.
‘One of the things, when we go back to George Floyd riots and others, some departments were caught unawares of how bad the situation was going to be.
She said there was potential for things to turn ‘ugly’ in Kenosha, Madison and Milwaukee.

Americans watched the Kyle Rittenhouse case fall apart this week, as prosecutors were admonished by the judge for dirty tricks, and testimony from key witnesses appeared to sink their hopes of pinning a murder charge on the 18-year-old.
Rittenhouse was charged with shooting three men and killing two on August 25, 2020, during the Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, WI, over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
During his trial that began last week, the lead prosecutor Thomas Binger attempted to paint Rittenhouse as a cold-blooded murderer with an AR-15 who was reckless and was not acting in self-defense when he shot the rioters.
“We have a person armed with an AR-15 shooting an unarmed man,” Binger said during a hearing for the case Monday. I don’t think you get to kill somebody with a gun when they’re unarmed.”
Gaige Grosskreutz was one of three people who Kyle Rittenhouse shot during the Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, WI. He testified in court today about what happened. Rittenhouse and his attorneys couldn’t have scripted a better response from Grosskreutz, who admitted that on August 25, 2020, he was pointing his gun at Rittenhouse before Rittenhouse shot him.
Corey Chirafisi, one of the lawyers on Rittenhouse’s defense team, asked Grosskreutz. “It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him, advanced on him with your gun … that he fired, right?”
“Correct,” he replied.

Assistant DA Bingor attempted to discredit Hernandez, the witness they asked to provide footage that he took during the Kyle Rittenhouse shooting incident, by asking him why he hired a lawyer to represent him? Judge Schroeder gave ADA Binger the appropriate slapdown.
