After years of repeated denials that the ‘Deep State’ exists, with Democrat pundits and politicians calling it a right-wing conspiracy theory, another lead Democrat said the quiet part out loud today and acknowledged its existence.

He also promised to protect the Deep State and lauded praise on it.

His statement was not the first time that a lead Democrat overtly or implicitly acknowledged the deep state.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), once infamously said “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” in response to President Trump’s criticism of the deep state.

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said today that the Deep State is a ‘cadre of professionals dedicated to honoring the Constitution’.

Hoyer was spaking at a hearing concerning federal worker protections that would further shield subversive bureaucrats from accountability.

“Speaking to Congress on Thursday, Democrat House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said members of the GOP want to “eliminate what they call the Deep State.”

“The deep state is a cadre of professionals dedicated to honoring the Constitution, the laws of this country and carrying out the policies of the Congress and the president,” Hoyer said.

“That’s what his supporters are suggesting now, and they’re suggesting not only that, but they’re going to put people in place who want to follow their political edicts, legal or not,” Hoyer said of Republican and Trump supporter desire to remove this unelected cadre of power brokers from deciding public policy.

Hoyer, a representative from Maryland, had said in May that the US was at war with Russia as he relished a deep advocacy for the US’s support for Ukraine.”
