Left-wing Actor Tim Robbins recently appeared on Russell Brand’s podcast Stay Free with Russell Brand, where he revealed the moment he stopped blindly following the liberal agenda surrounding Covid-19 mandates and restrictions.

Robbins, who was previously a strict adherent to the government’s Covid-19 masking, social distancing, and vaccine mandates, realized last year that these policies were discriminatory and pointless after visiting the UK.

On Sunday’s episode of Brand’s podcast, Robbins went into detail on this revelation and how it has affected the way he values listening to opposing opinions.

He admitted that, at first, he “bought into” the government’s narrative about Covid-19 mandates and felt hostility towards those who did not obey the left-wing policies.

“I was masking everywhere, I was keeping my social distance, I was adhering to the requests made of me,” Robbins said. “And I felt, you know, angry at people that didn’t do that.”

Robbins then shared the experience that opened his eyes to the possibility that the Covid narrative he’d been fed wasn’t necessarily the truth.

“It wasn’t until I came to the UK in January of 2021 that I started to have questions,” the actor said. “I was here on a job and I noticed… a lot of people were not adhering to these requests made by their government. I thought, well, they’re gonna have a hard day coming up… they’ll be some serious death here.”

Robbins said that he continued masking and adhering to the policies at this time, saying “It wasn’t until much later that I started to have questions.”

When the actor noticed there wasn’t a huge death rate in the UK, where more people were disregarding the government mandates, he “started to wonder more and more about what we were being told and whether it was true or not.”

“It took a while for me to speak about it,” Robbins added.

He then recounted an experience he had when he encountered an anti-lockdown in New York. He went into the group of people to try and hear their perspectives on the issue, and shortly realized that these people were not the evil terrorists that the liberal media made them out to be.

“I saw the way they were being described in the press and it wasn’t true,” Robbins recalled. “These were not national-front nazis. There were liberals, lefties, and people that believed in personal freedom, and I began to educate myself and I began to open my mind to what was going on.”

“It was a very different political environment in the United States,” Robbins continued. “Very divisive, very much based on politics.”

He compared this to England’s “much more tolerant attitude towards the diversity of opinion,” adding that he was “really grateful” to have been given the opportunity to get a different perspective.

Once it became clear that those who were vaccinated could still continue to spread Covid, Robbins said that to continue forcing the vaccine mandates “didn’t seem to be following the science, it seemed to be following a political agenda.”

“So that’s where I really started to have problems with it,” Robbins said.

“I began to educate myself, and I began to open my mind to what was going on. It was a very different political environment in the United States, very divisive, [and] very much based on politics… It was kind of Orwellian,” he added.

Now, Robbins has no problem sharing his opinion that is unpopular, especially in the world of Hollywood. He frequently posts on Twitter about the ineffectiveness of Covid vaccines, the discrimination of Covid mandates, and the bias of the liberal media.
