Just yesterday, Westmoreland County Sheriff James Albert decided to cut his allegiance to the Democrat Party and join the Republican Party. Sheriff Albert said it was a tough decision to make in an interview with The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

“It was a really difficult decision and I’ve thought long and hard about it, but I feel I stand for the ideals of the Republican Party platform more than the Democrats today.”

Albert, who calls himself a “conservative Democrat,” supports the right to life, the 2nd amendment, and is a member of the National Rifle Association. His decision to leave directly relates to the recent riots across the country, especially the killing of the Police Captain in St. Louis:

“I was saddened and enraged by the murder of David Dorn, a 77-year-old African American retired police captain, who was shot by a pawn shop looter during a protest in St. Louis.”

Albert also expressed concern over the reaction to these riots from top figureheads in the Democrat Party:

“These outrageous, lawless acts have been met with silence, acquiescence and, in some instances, outright support from the local, state, and national leadership of the Democratic Party. As a lifelong public servant and member of law enforcement, I have not left the Democratic Party; the Democratic Party has left me.”

The behavior coming from the Democrat Party is nothing new as just last wee,k a Democrat staffer was arrested during one of the riots in Portland, as previously reported by 100%FedUp:

Democrat staffer Kristina Narayan was arrested during the ongoing riots in Portland. Speaker Kotek’s office has not responded to requests for comment. A total of 59 rioters were arrested on Saturday and early Sunday morning. The leftist mob was hurling rocks and molotov cocktails at Portland police.

“Kristina Narayan was arrested for Interfering with a Police Officer after the event became a riot, and the crowd was given multiple orders to disperse, which she did not do,” a spokesperson for the Portland police department told Fox News.
